Teaching my 17 month old Toddler how to ski | Tips, Tricks & Equipment | Toddler Skiing

We are going to be vlogging the process of teaching her how to ski since both of us love skiing & snowboarding and we want her to learn early!
We got started quite early in the backyard a few weeks ago just getting her used to her equipment!
Progression:
Step 1:
- Getting her comfortable running around in her big bulky snow suit
Step 2:
- Getting her comfortable wearing the helmet
Step 3:
- Trying on the ski boots and practicing walking inside
Step 4:
- Practicing walking in ski boots outside in the snow, and then trying the skis on!
Step 5:
- Took her to the mountain and she had no issues with her equipment, was extremely excited, and was a pro on the magic carpet, and balanced well on the skis!!!
Step 6:
- Teaching her some basic ski lingo “up up up”, “down down down” and “weeeee” 😂😂😂💖 so she tells us when she wants to keep going she says “up up up”! 🥰🙏🧿
Next Steps:
We will now try to work on getting her to lift up her feet/skis and “skate” - and keep practicing her balance while going downhill! Since 17-18 month olds don’t understand full instructions and commands to be able to turn and carve yet! 😂💖 Let’s see how this goes! Very excited about vlogging this progress!

(We have other harnesses, but this one is retractable with handles and it's REALLY convenient and easy to use, I saw other people with the regular harnesses struggling on the mountain - it's quite pricey but on this journey we believe we'll get SO much usage, plus theres an Edgie Wedgie included which is around $15 if purchased separately)

Hoping we can keep the skis for 2-3 seasons, so this year 18 months ish, next year 2.5 ish and the season after 3.5 ish, but she’ll grow out of the boots at the end of next season!
