These lectures are really interesting. I've a mechanical engineering degree, and though I don't work in the field of motors or motor controllers, I can appreciate much of what was described, and wish I could use this information because it is so impressive. This is much better than TV. Thank you TI.

I've been working on my own induction motor control system for a while now. Why doesn't anyone supply a chip that can already do all these math functions and have all the necessary hardware so that all you have to hook up is the current inputs, user inputs, and the outputs to the driver stage? I would like to build an inexpensive control system for electric vehicles and have yet to find a chip that does what I need. Any thoughts on a solution that doesn't cost more than about $150?
