The teacher used so many academic words to explain. How can a child feel or understand the place/ manner of articulation of a consonant?

Thank you so much for sharing this video. I use this program but do not always feel confident that I am introducing the brothers and vowels correctly. Watching you do this validated that I am on the right track. It's a lot of information to process and share with little minds.

Good job! My students benefit from this type of teaching phonemic awareness whenever I use it!

Plosives are a great start to phonemic awareness.

It doesn't really work to pre schoolers... especially if they're bilingual kids...but it's good to teach student- teacher... ( Adult)

I think this will help my 5 year old to understand better thank you so much!

Super helpful! We have all of these beautiful materials, but I don't personally have the time or money to go to all the training sessions. So good to see how you introduce the phonemes. Thanks!

kellymaroo Actually it's not helpful at all and highly inaccurate

I like this video but I would like to watch the cards that children are watching at the same time as them.

does this works with preschoolers, or is it more for elementary?
@karenerickson26617 жыл бұрын
both You would use only part of the activities with preschoolers.

Why don't they have mirrors?
@karenerickson26617 жыл бұрын
Mirrors would only be used on occasion to let the children practice making sounds and changing from one to another looking at their own mouths. They could be distracting at other times.

this is more for the idea to get kids thinking about how to make sounds with their mouths (essential for pre reading skills)

He is not able to but that doesn't mean he isn't learning. It would be important not to distract him with too much redirection about his behaviour during the lessons.
@karlanewton2466 жыл бұрын
This is a good example of how difficult it is to teach to more than one child at a time. The teacher used some good redirection techniques and gave him opportunities to participate.
@anatnominuk3 жыл бұрын
@@karlanewton246 I found it to be very realistic. I liked that the video shows exactly what students do during small group. I agree the teacher used some good redirection techniques.

He's slightly bored is all. Probably too laboured for him. Or maybe he's picking up on the favouritism
