Teaching the Academic Word List

In this video, we introduce the Academic Word List (AWL), originally developed by Avril Coxhead in New Zealand, to capture the vocabulary needs of English language students in higher education. We then discuss different strategies and activities with which to tech the AWL to our English for academic purposes students.
