Actually on a chair that can move easily, the break pedal of the G29 is a pain in the arse because it pushes you away, which makes you hold onto your steering wheel which will eventually come off after it has been used for a while. Therefore changing the break pedal to the clutch pedal is a bit of an unchristian approach to solve the problem, but at least you can break consistently.

Actually, regarding the brake pedal, I agree with Rob that the logitech default brake pedal doesn't feel good to use. It's very very stiff for the first half of pedal compression, and even stiffer for the 2nd half. I'm a big dude with very strong legs, and I struggle to press the normal brake pedal beyond 50%, and the first 50% is still pretty hard. I swapped it to the clutch pedal which has a consistent resistance that's much easier to press. It's not the most representative of brakes in a real car, but it feels much better for playing the game, particularly as a beginner.

I use the g29 as well and I just put the steering sensitivity on 71 in the last 4 F1 games and it was all perfect. If I put the wheel upside down the steering is exactly at 100 percent.
@PortuguesePirate993 жыл бұрын
for the g29 you 100% want to change the brake to the clutch pedal, you have alot more play in the pedal and can understand what 50% of the brake is compared to 75% and 90% etc. The actual brake pedal is so inconsistent. Turning degrees is 360 on mine but i have the saturation of the wheel in the game set quite high, this matches how the turn in would be irl on a racing car by looking at driver input otherwise the shit just will never hit the apex imo. This is just my opinion and what works best for me

one thing you need to do with the logitech g29 brakes on f1 (at least on 2020 and before) is to increase sensetivity. Press the brakes hard and increase sensitivity until it hits the 100 % mark. On default settings pressing the brakes really hard wil get you to 80%/85% . At least for me

Brake pedal is totally usable... It's very stiff, but that's how it is meant to be, you have to really stand on the pedal to get it stopped. Clutch has no bite to it, so it's super easy to lock up by just depressing the pedal too much. With the brake pedal, because of the stiffness, it means you can be a lot more precise with braking pressure without risking lockups as much.
@TheOutgoingClan3 жыл бұрын
I use the G29 and have the saturation set to like 20 so when it gets to the part where it’s SUPER stiff, the brake is almost completely pressed in game. I only ever have to slam it if I really fuck up a corner but it’s much easier to use.
