This is a great course for adults that don’t even have kids. Tons of adults out there that their parents never taught them how to self govern themselves and this is great education. Never too late to learn to be a better person

Thank you so much! I'm so glad that you're getting a good start. And yes! Lots of good changes with my weight! We discovered it was a hormonal imbalance and took the necessary steps from there. You're welcome!

As someone who’s in education, ultimately, I believe the disrespect increase goes much deeper. Technology has greatly taken over our lives. Parents are addicted to phones and so are children. Children are so desensitized that to everything. Parents are stressed out with the current living situation, they don’t want to deal with their children when they get home, so they just give in and give them the tablet. Children act out and get their way, it’s a learned behavior from parents. This is a way all too common occurrence nowadays

Great thoughts! Absolutely agree. I've seen that many parents simply don't have the skills needed to communicate effectively (to themselves and their children/family), so they resort to emotional reaction (waiting for it to happen to take care of it) and conflict evasion instead of acting in a calm, consistent, predictable way. Acting out is definitely a learned behavior, but calmness can be a learned behavior also, if parents are willing to adopt it. teachingselfgovernment.com/calm-parenting-toolkit/ Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

You just said something controversial! Tell me why people are always talking about the entitlement of kids but never where they learn it from 😹 this is a fantastic point. Parents are 'allowed' to be entitled and they pass that attitude right to their kids. It's definitely not just about socialization although entitled kids can rub off on other kids the bigger problem is parents being or excusing entitlement themselves

Gabriel said, "Inform me about the Hour." He (the Prophet) said, "About that the one questioned knows no more than the questioner." So, he said, "Well, inform me about its signs." He said, "They are that the slave-girl will give birth to her mistress…” it is a metaphor towards the widespread of disobedient children who mistreated their parents just like the treatment of a master towards his slave.

What do you do about a teen who will not look at you and either goes silent or goes up to their room and damages his hand because he hits the wall?
@TeachingSelfGovernment Жыл бұрын
Great question! I have a few other videos that address specific skills and principles to help teens (and people in general): kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y2nPoWNmn5d_p6M&pp=ygUYbmljaG9sZWVuIHBlY2sgbm8gYW5zd2Vy kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3a5iomdjM59qsU&pp=ygUVbmljaG9sZWVuIHBlY2sgcnVsZW9m kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpLZipeqrLR_aNE They needs skills and consistent correction, as well as calmness in themselves and in their parents. I hope these help!

What do you do when you have an ex spouse and Grandmother who spoils and rewards the bad behavior? My ex hates me and tells my kids he wishes I would die so he can get them a new mother. How do you deal with a toxic ex spouse and a toxic mother spoiling my kids when they behave bad?

Check with CPS. Then you'll know why parents are pushed into a corner of having to coddle.
