Your channel is the gold standard of what I expect from a good quality technical KZbin channel. You give in-depth and uncompromised information and advice. In addition, I truly appreciate that it's always about the content and doesn't add the unneeded fluff and flare. Anytime a video comes out, It feels more like I'm sitting down with a good friend to talk about interesting topics then it does with other channels where I feel like I'm being sold something. I'm glad you're going to give yourself the time needed to make the channel work for you and what you need it to be in your vision. We're all here because we like what you're doing and how you do it so never change. I'm glad you're going to get some much needed rest and relaxation.

I agree with every word of this and couldn't have written it better myself. No other channel on YT has this level of integrity and he absolutely should be taking breaks when he wants/needs to and setting his own pace. He's well and truly earned that right.

I have always looked forward to your videos and they have often helped me in the past. If you happen to do a topic I'm not interested in I just move on, just because I'm not interested doesn't mean someone else isn't. Like you I have a lot of unfinished projects. I have a new SV08 still in the box, I ordered it under the launch promotional pricing in May. I had major spinal surgery in June and spent a lot of the rest of the year in rehab. I live alone now and do all my own household tasks so that in combination with the rehab and such means the printer is still in the box. I have three other printers and use them frequently. I'm 70 but figured I wasn't too old to learn Klipper! You definitely deserve a vacation! Have a great one and I'll be looking for you on the other side!

I’ve been doing my channel for 10 1/2 years. I got to your point about 8 years in. I had done a video every Friday. Many times rushed. I didn’t really announce a slowdown but I backed off. Those of us of a certain age will always watch the vids of both you and Michael though - so there's that :) Retention has gotta calm the nerves a bit - click the bell folks! Maybe "we" were all conditioned to like content like both of yours through those old computer shows on PBS and having suffered dipswitches as a way of life. We don't have cycles for the constant goofy stuff of other channels. Young folks like AuroraTech give me hope for the future. If I had a wish for you, it would be that you got money for every CHEP cube printed hehe.

Great video, Michael. I’m absolutely humbled that our podcast conversation was thought provoking enough for you for you to bring it up in your video. As I mentioned on there, you really are the gold standard for integrity in our industry. Even though I’m far to the other side of the spectrum (working with lots of sponsors, a team on payroll), I have tremendous respect and admiration for how you run your business, and look to model the integrity you’ve created. I hope you have a restful break! I also made the decision after October 7th to let go of one video a week. Life is too short to always be stressing about the next video. Take a well deserved break! Your channel and website got me started in 3d printing, and now I'm building custom firmwares and modding mechanics I still refer back to your site for tuning and calibrating.

Michael, I recently started into 3D printing after receiving an Ender 3 hand me down from a friend when he upgraded. Your channel quickly became one of the most useful resources for me during the learning process. I appreciate you and the work you put in for us. Enjoy the time off, spend some time with your family and friends, get some rest, and have fun. See you in February!

Just wanting to say you've been a massive help and a support during my own journey as a hobbyist, so much so that I'm looking into printing professionally (focusing on tabletop and LARP props). Have a great month off, and hopefully see you (and your Sovol toolchanger build) in Feb!

Commenting to help the algorithm. As you said, your videos are not always relevant to what I’m doing or need, but they are ALWAYS technically interesting and have found them to be well worth my time to watch and learn. You take care of yourself!

Enjoy the break! I for one greatly appreciate the work people like you do. I was out of 3d printing for close to 10 years, and after recently picking it up again, your channel was one that I found to help me along the way. You've been a great asset.

Take heart in knowing that most of us 'get it'. I'm very new to designing and 3D printing and have landed on your channel multiple times when searching for a clue about how to do something. I'm still trying to figure out which channels I actually need to subscribe to without overdoing it and being buried in too many channels. You've won me over with your dedication and explanation of your self-imposed standards for maintaining an unbiased view of products and suppliers. I have just subscribed. I look forward to going back and using your previous videos to keep learning, and look forward to your future videos. Thanks, and enjoy your sabbatical!

I've been watching your channel on and off since late 2019, when I got my first printer (Ender 3 Pro) but it's really the only one I've stuck around with consistently over that time. I feel like your videos are the most consistent, and the most informative, without a bunch of cruft to sift through. It seems to work the best with my ND brain compared to other channels. I'm glad to hear you're not fully retiring, but please feel free to take whatever time you need between videos. Not that you need my permission of course. Personally I would be fine with one a month or even 6 months. Quality over quantity, as they say. I hope you enjoy your time off and will be looking forward to any videos you make in the future, regardless of their frequency :)
