Love the focus on imitating actions! Actions are high frequency and easy to generalize! Thanks for the fun tips on how to keep things playful!

Do you have references to any of the research talking about the importance of imitating sounds before words? I am having a hard time convincing some of the parents I work with and hoping showing them some of the data will help!

Hi Laura, am a Grammy to 3 1/2 Caroline. My daughter recently became a single parent. Not her choice. He left her after 8 years. My daughter is broken we wonder how she will raise a child on the spectrum my herself. I’m 74 with major heath issues. Mom is afraid she will not able to do it perfectly alone and Caroline will regress bc mom is still in shock. Caroline has taken to biting only when she upset. Also throwing objects down the basement. She’s been in a insecure space. I think she heard too much arguing. And misses her daddy very much. He was a hands on dad. I was teaching her how to use utensils and also use the potty. Now she wants no part of those lessons. She’s nonverbal. She cries more than ever at home and school and now does more steming
