On our Pentecostal vacation we visited "Someday" again. Other than the usual boat work we had a really special project on our bucket list: The teak deck! We would have never chosen a real teak deck if we bought a new boat (due to given reasons such as the environment), but we're absolutely amazed by our teak deck. Although the boat and thus the teak has faced a lot of heat and UV-radiation in Croatia but also really cold temperatures and rain/snow in Neustadt. Due to these weather conditions the teak has suffered a lot and you could find a lot of grooves and more on it. In the hope of getting a fresher deck we started working on it. With tools such as a so called "Mozart-knife" much sandpaper and electric grinding machines we worked approximately a week on the teak deck. We are amazed by "new" teak deck we now have - It was a lot of work, but totally worth it!
