Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is one of the most beautiful looking animations of the year, so I'm going to teaching you how to recreate the cinematic look of Gwen Stacy's universe. Using DaVinci Resolve, I will show you step by step how you can color grade like the Spiderman movie. Follow along to learn how to color grade your log footage.

Thank you, very informative. A word on Aspect Ratio, when movies are in the cinemascope ratio the DCP for theatres are 2.39:1 whilst DVDs are 2.40:1. I'll use 2K & FHD as an example. That is because movies are filmed at proper DCI Aspect Ratio 1.90:1 which is 2048x1080 pixels for 2K and consumers usually own devices with a 16:9 Aspect Ratio which is 1920x1080 FHD. That is why some products will say 4K and others UHD, there is a 200-pixel difference. When cropping for 2.39:1, 2K becomes 2048x858 and FHD becomes 1920x817. 817 is not an even number, so instead of making it 816 they make it 810. 1920x810 is 2.40:1. When movies reach home media, we lose some pixels.

Hey I just subscribed to your channel! I saw your video on grading F-Log. Great tips! How do you grade F-Log2 in DaVinci Resolve? Do you use the Arri LogC3 CST workflow?

I don't use that workflow at the moment. I prefer to use the color space transform or a lut built for Fujifilm log.

Yes it should, just make sure you use the color profile you recorded in on your Sony for the color space transform input.
