If we look back at the 3-0 win against Canada, then we find that the formation that was 3-4-3 on paper was actually 3-box-3 in possession (especially in the final third), which was quite similar to the 3-box-3 of Manchester City under Pep Guardiola. The front 3 of that 3-box-3 were Endo, Kobayashi / Iwabuchi, Seike / Shimizu, and the 2 goals scored from open play came from Endo and Seike, who were wingbacks on paper in a 3-4-3, but contributed greatly to the result. The "box" in the middle while in possession is also very important, and the midfield could be controlled by good movements among the 4 players. I look forward to seeing this in the coming 2 games! ❤
