@@DoRCjup I wanted a new 1/5 rc first I thought a XRT but I really don’t like the electronics and the monkey metal so I bought a Arrma outcast exb 8s roller and put in hobbywing max5 g2 and 800kv motor end some m2c shit total cost €1100 cheaper than XRT stock 😅I did get a good deal tho bought it all from a guy that had no time to build it him self.

I have been leaning towards buying a Kraton 4S after the holidays to run with my Maxx. I have however had my eye on this vehicle ever since the leak and hope to see some comparisons to the Kraton 4S. The Kagama 4 might be my next purchase instead, or at least before the Kraton 4S.

Love my Kagama 6s, absolute tank…upgraded transmitter, servo and wheels and it’s arguably the best 6s basher I would expect the 4s to have the same regard as the 6s…if that’s the case, the price is amazing 🍻

Looks good, solid. New RC isn't in my budget but if I was looking for a 4S basher this would be on my list. Parts availability is always a question but if they are available on line and show up in a decent amount of time would really help push it to the front.

Fortunately they are and they do. There are a couple of major retailers you can get them from in the United States and anything you can't you can get straight from the mothership with two to four day shipping from Europe.

Arrma 3-4S has direct drive CVD with NO diff cups to wear out which with my style bashing and tuning. This design by arrma has become my favorite feature that I have not seen with other brands❤

@th3w4nted no it's one of the toughest cars you can get. There were some weak points in the V2 and especially the V1 but since the 2.5 update it's very durable

I'm very concerned with the front a-arms, they are the same as the radix, and I broke the upper front arm twice and other snapped the lower arms, it was also a negative point of the skeeter, there is a cheaper solution for it (instead of putting the more expensive spark xb6 arms) and I wished they have choose it, it's to dip the arms in motor oil over night to make them less brittle.

Does anyone have info on the Arrma photo making its rounds on Facebook? It looks like either a 1/6 8s or maybe 1/8 6s. It only shows the bottom of the tires and has Chinese characters that say next week. It looked legit. I really hope it's a huge 8s Typhon exb.

Not much yet. One person did increase the contrast and brightness of the picture so you can see a little bit better view of the wheels but it doesn't really show much

Shock Towers tower to tower brace shocks motor mount body and a few other bits and pieces. Overall they are fairly similar to each other.

The kagama 4s has to be wider than the Sketer. It's a truggy. The sketer imo is the worst of the TC rcs. It's not an MT or a truggy....just something in between

I wish they used a higher KV motor 2400-2600kv. The 2150 isn't quick enough for my liking on 4s. Great motor all the less can always gear it up with fans

Your front CVD pin breaks or the metal twists in the shaft ? My pin broke speed running on grass. I also wish there were upgraded CVDs. Check your center drive shaft pins. Mine are about half worn away after 10 weeks.

The metal twist in the stub axel. It really sucks because the stub axel is included with the front CVD sold as one part. Close to almost $30. I wish they sold the front CVDS separately without the stub axel. This will be the 4th purchase. Really love the car, but $30 every 2 or 3 runs is ridiculous. Any suggestions?

Fortunately with the plastic upper shock mounts and composite shock towers the upper standoffs actually seem less susceptible to breakage than they do on the 6S trucks.

Personally, I find it interesting how the solid links are praised on this but was received negatively on the jato 4x4 vxl. Granted, I get that maybe traxxas marketing isn’t doing it any favors, but IMO Traxxas is simply hybridizing racing and bashing. Most Traxxas buyers are going to bash, and basically whatever Traxxas releases will become a spec class anyway. Of course the price is also not helping.

Personally it's not the links themselves that I have a problem with It's the links combined with the way they're trying to market the VXL and the price. They showed the VXL pretty much exclusively on a track in their promotional video and it is priced like a race car. With those things in mind you would think it would have adjustable links. I don't have a problem with it having solid links but they seem out of place based on how it's being marketed

@ yea that’s fair. It’s definitely not priced quite right. Although now that I think about it, ford might have something to do with that. The raptor R is 499, and traxxas will basically never price a vehicle with a higher tier brushless system lower than another product. The erevo used to be $549, then when the maxx came out at $549 the erevo got bumped to 579. Then they both crept up until the erevo ended up at 649 and the maxx at $569. I wouldn’t be shocked if ford wants thick royalties on that raptor R, they’re not doing great financially.

This is a great distribution of costs. Metal where you need it, good plastic elsewhere to keep it cheap. Looks great. I like body clips, same with non adjustable links. For this average idiot, it's less weight and worry (don't have to ask if the links are uneven).

I am honestly starting to move back toward the body clip camp. I have yet to find a single clipless system that is really consistently good. The Traxxas XRT is decent but still not perfect

Well I won't get into the art part of it because that's outside of my area of expertise but as far as the chassis layout there really aren't a lot of different ways you can make a four-wheel drive shaft driven aluminum chassis car and the basic layout that pretty much everyone uses was around long before Arrma existed.
