I’m a truck driver and I don’t sit on the tracks as the signs at most crossings “Do not stop on tracks.” I roll my windows down at any crossing that has no bells and lights and I look both ways. Trains are too big and heavy to compete with.

entirely the trucking company's fault. The driver didnt stop on the tracks, they got stuck at a red light at the next intersection. This wouldnt have happened had the truck had a proper escort that could have allowed them to cross the intersection without putting other drivers at risk. Cant transport something over 130ft long without help or else this happens.

@@chriscrowe11 There was no reason to cross the tracks if you can't clear them . Driver needs to have the license suspended .

Amazing clean up job but the truck was at fault.The train never left the track to hit the truck.

I wonder if the NS called this a RVD rule violation derailment When we use to get our NS track authorities they always listed all derailment as RVD

And why is there failure they can't stop on time clearly when the crossing was blocked by bone head trucker if any of the truck driver sought to be fine for blocking the crossing and for also causing the train to derail from the tracks
