Chester's reasoning was so idiotic. Did he forget Deathstorm didn't actually bring his dad back.... He actually uses that as a point as if it doesn't make him look like a raging moron. Also the "I ran the science and it makes the most sense to me" is phenomenally stupid. For starters "ran the science" is a stupid line and whoever wrote deserves to be unemployed, And he's wrong anyway. Caitlin = Medical Practitioner (easily replaceable just with the amount of medical practitioners in the US) Frost = One of a kind Ice powered meta human that's apparently great against speedsters like Black Flash (which is dumb). This is a no brainer situation just based on a purely logical outcome so the "I ran the science" is stupid on multiple levels.

@Zeb's Alley Original Music Do you know how many times people use lines like, "I ran the science" in television and or movie history before? 😑 It basically means that they "ran the numbers" which in layman's terms means that they ran through every logical solution rather than one that is based on pure emotion and yes Chester is correct it does make sense to bring Caitlin back and they have pushed the message multiple times that bringing back the dead in the flash is both dangerous and immoral and something you had to accept rather than try to change. Also you are aware that one of the main characters of Legends is a resurrected character right? Not saying it isn't dangerous and all, but they've been acting like resurrection is unheard of and out of bounds. Also, the Flash has only ever made a big deal about Barry changing the timeline to resurrect people, this is not at all equivalent to that. Allegra and Chester opinion mattered when Joe "Mr. Shoot everything first ask questions later" West said that he would disown Barry and Iris for not trying to save Thawne from being erased like savitar(the man who killed Barry's mom and Barry and Iris daughter Nora, Cisco and the original wells). Clearly whoever is writing this show has a huge boner for chuck and allegra without building them up and making them interesting characters whose best season was in Season 6 when they were paired with Cisco and Nash it's now Season 9 and i feel like we have learned pratically nothing about them

It was only after he learned from his mistake bc after saving his parents and what it caused he technically never changed the timeline..not the same way anyway. I see where you’re coming from but he’s only looking out for her. Cait is trying to scientifically bring back Frost which..Barry saw she was destroying herself over hence why he did what he did. You can’t really compare something he did in the earlier season with little experience. Also the time you mentioned with the Mirror wasn’t Barry. Not Barry in full control anyway hence the decision he made.

Aside from the fact that they're basically preventing Snow from making her own choice since she's now the active consciousness (I know they eventually let her but in this scene they're not), Caitlin should be the one to bring back. Frost made her choice and was at peace with her death, and Caitlin is needed as the team medic; Hartley showed up hurt and Barry had no idea what to do. And why don't they think that Frost wouldn't try just as hard to save Caitlin if she was the one who was brought back?

Exactly! It was the disrespectful way that Barry Allen (mr. drop everything and run and save my wife at all cost tampering with all timelines, with complete disregard for any/all consequences) destroyed Caitlin’s lab when she was working on bringing Frost back. He of all people should be understanding of Caitlin, if not her then especially Mark’s situation since Frost was his love. Instead Barry didn’t even try to make a valid attempt nor did he offer comfort to them. If the team had all tried and failed then okay, but nope they just sat back and spewed self righteous nonsense about not bringing back the dead.

Unpopular Opinion: besides being tied to frost or whatever new love interest she had each season, Caitlin didn’t really have a storyline of her own after season 5. After season 5 she was really the one who just patched people up. Things became more about Frost and not so much Caitlin. After the Frost and Ronnie/Deathstorm storyline was done, it was hard for me to see her have much a place on the show. Didn’t seem like the writers could do much with her. The logical thing to do was to have Caitlin turn into the real evil killer frost with no redemption. With all the pain she has dealt with it would’ve made sense. But since they didn’t go that route the obvious thing would be to recreate someone who was a combination of both Caitlin and frost, giving her a storyline. Makes sense why neither frost or Caitlin came back because they don’t really have much a storyline left. Bringing either back would’ve just consisted of one grieving about the other, and no one got time for that. 😂 For me it seemed like the Frost/Caitlin story has run it’s course and I’m glad that neither are coming back. It is good that the writers found some way to still keep Danielle in the final season. Khione is now the combination of both frost and Caitlin. And her personality seems more interesting than Caitlin/Frost. Wasn’t too fond of the fact that Caitlin and Frost spilt anyways. Now it would’ve been interesting to give Caitlin split personalities and they all live inside her head. But beggars can’t be choosers.

I feel the same way too , I don’t know why! Everytime I see iris and Caitlyn side by side , I don’t feel anything. Sometimes I even feel like “ iris is not friendly towards cait , what is that? “. When Barry stood next to cait , I feel like they r siblings which cait is the older sister always worrying about her little siblings from doing something wrong or something causing trouble. When Chester is with Barry , I have a feeling like soldiers or partners which I mean they are figuring things out to fight or protect the city even tho they r not friends like Cisco and Barry. This show has been a dead shell at least since post-crisis, let alone how awful S5 was. And yep, so far this last season is like the opposite of Gotham's last season, which had like one extra filler episode cause they were told they could late in the game. Literally nothing has happened that even matters this season at all. They already ruined the best ending possible which was either Barry actually giving his life to save everyone during crisis, the other being a full circle of Flash and Reverse Flash's rivalry and fight that's essentially a time loop. Or not? Cause wth was that trash at the end of Season 8 and why did I sit through it?

Thank you this is the only Season where the first two episodes were so lackluster I felt like i was in the middle of the season it was cool seeing Murphy from the 100 as Captain boomerang but that was not a first episode material. Even the worst seasons of the show 5, and 7 had a better start than the last season which is the final run

I would not vote on either of them. Plus, Chester has a point, resurrection is not the way to solve the problem. Resurrecting the dead always leaves to disaster, just ask Ra’s Al Ghul, Sara Lance, Roy Harper, Thea Queen, Oliver Queen, Damien Darhk, Eobard Thawne, and don’t get me started on Deathstorm. And now Caitlin’s attempt to resurrect Frost went wrong. And no she’s gone herself. Resurrecting always leads to disaster. I’d rather continue living on the life I was given when I was born, it’s what my deceased loved ones would’ve wanted. I’d rather honor their memory by living on.

Never really liked that Chillblaine guy. The only reason he joined and stayed Team Flash is because of Frost. The guy didn't want to fight alongside them at all cause he's infactuated with Frost and will only fight alongside her, and her only. If he turns bad again, I wouldn't be surprised. Plus he's the one who setup Frost just to get her attention and somehow gain her powers due to his obsession with cryokinesis. Was the whole clubbing scene towards the end of this episode really necessary? I mean what was all the excitement about? For once Barry would have a hard time choosing Caitlin is one of his best friend and now that Cisco left he wouldn't want her to go as well as guilt for destroying the machine in such a hypocritical fashion instead of helping her, but frost was also someone he interacted with alot on the field he mentored/work with her as both Barry and Savitar and was finally able to have her own life and be a new person that got cut short. But to me it also would have been obvious that Barry would have asked snow/khione what she wanted as just like frost she is her own person. Especially now that Cisco isn't here to call team flash on their bs as much cisco would've wanted Caitlin back he would have been the first to consult khione/snow on what she wanted as a person and not brush her off like she isn't important
