So if you did not know, TF2 has random crits. Which means one of your attacks has a chance to do three times base damage. And the Rocket launcher is infamous for killing entire teams with critical hits, so much so people call Critical hit rockets “Crockets.” Because you can both see when they are a critical hit rocket and also you are gonna die if it hits you.

I’ve been playing this map non stop trying to get the final token. Besides the frustrations with me being an idiot with my routes, the map is extremely fun, and very VERY faithful to the actual CTF_2Fort map from the game. Another great thing are the custom Announcer voice lines, which I feel like are either from the actual VA, or someone doing a VERY good impression. The use of all merc’s voicelines are really really nice as well, their triggers are very well done, making the voicelines fit the situations instead of just being thrown in there. The weapons and models (including player models) are wonderful as well, like it’s absolutely crazy how amazing the models and animations are in comparison to TF2’s actual model and animation sets. There’s also the nice little touches they included like the perk cans being “Bonk! Atomic Punch!” Cans, except the flavor is replaced with the perk name, and the cans color fits the perks color scheme, while also still remaining sort of faithful to the Bonk! can design. Another great thing are the Pack-A-Punch names, being inside jokes in the community, like for the Rocket Launcher being “CROCKET LAUNCHER” (CROCKET is Crit and Rocket combined), or the Pack-A-Punched Sniper Rifle being “BOT CRISIS”, which is a reference to the several bot epidemics the game has faced (hopefully for the last time, thanks Valve!). Another great thing about PaP, is the fact that your weapons have the appearance of a Crit buff, like the Kritzkrieg (or the buff you get for winning a match/capturing the intel/Crit canteen from MVM) Another small, yet amazing touch is the HUD, being the default HUD from the game, that has the little flashing health bar when your red screen and everything. Like it’s such a small, yet wonderful detail. Another thing is the music for round changes, again, it’s small, but amazing and fitting. If I ever think of anything else, I’ll add edits, but as for now, that’s really all I can think of to praise the map and how well it’s made and how faithful the weapons are to the game.

19:58 ah yes, the crocket launcher. the name "crocket" meas critical-rocket. Critical attacks are attacks that deal 3X the normal damage, with no damage fallof. The base damage for the rocket launcher is 100, and it has huge damage falloff, making it balanced. However whenever it gets critical hits, its extremely powerful and basically infamous in the community for being unfair. (You get crits randomly or by some specific items)
