Vircon Virmillion yeah more like only America and Korea care about LoL. If a game with a competition with $25 million dollars every year and multiple majors worth $2-5 million is considered dead, then there are no alive games
@virconvirmillion80376 жыл бұрын
Twilight_ Kevin what they dont tell you is that the $25 million that the company spends on it isnt the jackpot, its a false advert. Much of the prize pool doesn’t go to the winners as a huge huge portion is merchandise like shirts or lots of times new computers etc., which are mostly given away not to the players but viewers. And after that the money isnt for one competition, they may say its the prize money for the world comp, but that includes all of the prize money at the qualifiers for worlds etc. which cuts it down. You can also just look at the winnings for players of each game. The number one player in dota, with a $25 million prize pool sponsored by valve, won just over $1 million, im pretty sure it was $1.1, the #1 player in LoL in 2016, with a prize pool of only $7 million, won almost $900,000. So obviously theres something off about the mention of a $25 million money pool. There arent even enough fans to support that. Most of it comes from Valve, as an attempt to keep that games esports scene alive, hence why lots of it is given away to fans and onlookers.

The Dota 2 Team Liquid won 11 tournaments from the start of 2017 to present (01/2017-06/2018) thats a span of 17 months. While Lol Team Liquid's win in the 2018 NA playoffs only earned them 100k, and their last 1st place before that was in fucking 2015. OMEGALUL.
@kenmendoza69326 жыл бұрын
And Team Liquid Dota 2 earned almost $11million in TI7, that only for 1 tournament. We can see whats the superior here.
@0funsucks06 жыл бұрын
that is all true dota 2 TL is much better than league TL in their respective surrounding but the reason why TL league is much more suited to be the power house for the brand is that in league there is much much much much more money involved with sponsoring , franchising etc and it has a lot more viewers. so even though doublelift is a strong player he is by no means the best in the world like miracle is ..but still he is 3 times his twitter followers just in comparison and they will put the marketing behind him rather than miracle . thats the only reason why steve seems to "treat" league TL special.

@adrien39676 жыл бұрын
wa wa What Dionisio is saying about the components being cheap is absolutely true. They use cheap OEM versions of GPUs, which often have bad cooling. They also use pretty bad CPU coolers. If you choose their watercooling solution it’s going to be better but still worse than a decent CPU cooler that is cheaper. That’s the problem with a lot of OEMs, not just Alienware, they all use bad quality OEM parts.
