Courtney Barber, one of the Team Mustang Girls shares her Mustang story and now the next chapter, the 1978 Ford Bronco. Courtney Barber's story started when she spotted a 1965 Mustang on Kansas-area Craigslist. Who cares that she lives in South Carolina! Surprisingly, she flew one-way to meet her baby for the first time and purchased the car. Shortly thereafter she enrolled for the yearly “Rally North America,” which had organized a “lap” of Alaska to celebrate a club milestone.
Courtney decided to drive her Mustang from South Carolina all the way to Alaska! She goes on to say that some moments were pretty miserable at the time, but now she feels it’s one of her greatest accomplishments. Road trips are awesome, but 13,000 miles in 30 days at the wheel of a vintage Pony Car is pushing what we would call fun. A memorable experience is more of what we would call it and we are sure Courtney feels it is an accomplishment.
The next chapter of her story is just beginning with her new 1978 Ford Bronco that she has built for another trip to Alaska and into Canada. This trip will require 4 wheel drive and some good seats. Take a look at what she built and listen to her story as we walk around her Bronco.
