I’m so disappointed uk didn’t get a medal. They knocked out the favourites when nobody expected anything then went toe to toe with the best players in the world. Compared to Canada who just about beat France and then flat out lost to China

yeah, UK were physically and mentally exhausted after their match against SK, Canada lost too but it's easier to recover from a quick 3-0 than a nail biting 4 match set with 2 draws and coming so close. UK could've definitely beaten Canada but they crumbled on map 5

Fusions is a great player. He beat fate in the rein battle by a good bit and the Winston was pretty equal. Kyb is a carry that’s all I’m saying. MikeyA amazing player also. Kruise is also good but not as good as the others. Smex is good but he overextended.

ninethreefivesix agree, but the thing is the UK team invested so much into their initial picks, so its hard to toss away all those ultimates just to counter pharah, on the other hand SK team especially carpe fleta and fate just constantly switching from one to another heroes to adapt even though it means you have to give up the built up progress towards ultimates and i guess that paid off in the end

@@jihung2930 Physical fatigue is different than mental fatigue. UK was able to hold two intense matchs and last match was the most intense. Besides, the pressure before facing SK had to be intense, because you are dealing with people that are know are the best in the world. Mixing all those things, the guy from UK had to be mentally exchausted.

When you are losing terribly ir doing bad at something people as human beings tend to give up, thats why we train not to ever give up, Canada had to overcome the fact they got 3-0 and not give up cause they could still get third place. Fuck yeah uk won the hearts of the people for só nearly knocking out the best in the world and taking out the dumbass americans who were calling uk "easy" but its not harder to recover from that considering it was Korea and they nearly won it. They changed it this year. Simple as that. And know there’s no way that was trying to get USA to win. The score was 1-1. After the draw it was 2-2. SK then won the last 2 maps so they won 4-2. If the draw didn’t give anyone a point SK would have won 3-1. Perhaps they were trying to make the USA look better score wise. But they couldn’t have been trying to make them win

They are friends irl so it makes sense that when you put them together they'll smash anything and everyone. The thing is we know that they are gods so why not give the mvp to someone new and unexpectedly good? People like fusions outplayed both South Korea and USA - two god teams and yet the Korean boy who always pops off and we are used to it, gets the award. Its like in class, you don't give a sticker to the kid that always gets 10/10 in a maths test otherwise all the other kids get upset. You give the sticker to the kid who usually sucks at maths, but happens to have done really well and got a 10/10 this time round. But yes I agree team South Korea all were mvp worthy other than fate. Kirika Yukine SK figured out China’s strength, dive, and played to China’s weakness by forcing them off dive with stun heavy compositions. UK on the other hand had much more varied strategies. This notion of SK as gods who can control outcomes of fights is idiotic. If SK simply wants to win why would they allow China to almost take map 4? And why would they risk the quaterfinal to put on a show instead of putting on a show in the finals?

I feel the biggest downfall of the uk was our occasional over-extensions, the start of Rialto and on blizzard world against Canada are notable examples and f this. On the other hand the synergy between kyb and fusions is so good almost every shatter is pulled off; regardless of being fourth I am still so proud of the uk for such an amazing run, ggs to South Korea.

Tracer is the main cover of the game publicity and hasn't had update in so long, so many counters against that sexy bae. She needs a rework, less waiting time or more health, she's a mosquito on any map. What counters a tracer: harambe, moira, genji, mei, brigitte, soldier with good aim. Alex Oh purely by heart I guess. Mechanically SK was better. But in terms of being a team and tenacity, UK was better. SK’s mechanical skill is just insane, they could rely on outlandish plays since all the members are top tier. Like Jjonak getting huge sleep darts that would define the entire forward push. Or Carpe just dominating on sidelines. SK’s individual players is what won

Great game but I really dont like this GOATS meta, it's so boring. UK played smart, if they play fire to fire vs Korea you'll end up like China. This 3 tank comp is something that the Korean coach said they least prepared for. But UK didn't really seem flexible, just kept sticking with GOATS which is what lost them the game ultimately.

Yeah but how could they change away from goats? The reality is, that none of the UK players can compete with people like carpe in terms of a widow vs widow, or fate in a Winston vs Winston. Instead team UK Forced Korea to play on their terms which gave UK a chance. Otherwise UK would've been destroyed - they didn't lose because they stuck with goats, they lost because Korea are too good to give in. Otherwise there wouldn't have been 2 draws but 2 wins for UK.
