Thanks guys... This is my old car. I sold it about a year ago and have missed it since say one. I think ill build another one in a few years. For the curious ones, the specs of the wheels are 17x8+12 and 17x9.5 +21. Also for what its worth the car had 150k miles and original paint. It wasnt perfect but it still was a clean car. Thank goodness for the po's who took care of it!

You are right! SW20 is turbo, SW21 is non turbo (American spec) and SW22 is NA in Japan with a 3S-GE engine instead of the 5S-FE in America.

Sad to hear you let this car go. I have watched the video quite a few times in the last couple days and I really believe it personifies the MR2. I absolutely love the clean "uncontaminated" look you achieved on this. May I ask what suspension you had? The drop over those wheels really completes the look. Also...you in the DC area?

this was my car...I parted out the headlights and wheels and sold the car. but here are the specs megan coilovers. fronts had both collars removed and it was as low as it could go. not sure what the camber specs are but im pretty sure it was around 2 degrees front and rear. The wheels are 17x8 +12 (front) and 17x9.5 +21 rear... oh and the wheels are work equips with stepped lips. sold them to a guy in NJ.

This just goes to show how sexy the MR2 is.. Aside from being slammed on nice ass wheels, this car is basically stock.. And it came out it in freaking 1990!! 22 year old car and it still looks fresh today!! Baby Ferrari ftw!

I don't remember the front. I know it was a 205 but I don't remember the sidewall height. the rears were 235/45r17

Yes, I like that he didn't do anything radical to the body. Keeping the body mostly stock is best imo. The bottom lip on the front bumper seems different than my '93, but looks fantastic. I'm sure it was just one of those minor changes they did to the '94+ model. Most aftermarket MR2 bumpers and body kits look like dog shit to me. The car is beautiful as is. I like the Kouki tail lights on the '94+, but I also prefer the panel in between the tail lights on my '93, so I'd have to devise a minor alteration for reverse lights if I got the Kouki tail lights.

CmdrGendoIkari yep, you are correct. The 93+ lips are exactly the same, but 93's were flat black, and 94+ were body color. I honestly only did a few things to the exterior. jdm front and rear corners, and side marker delete made a huge difference in the overall look of the stock body.

Man, its been a while but IIRC, they were 17x8 +12 and 17x9.5+21. If I were to do it again, I wouldnt want as much offset in the front, but that might have killed the look.

Finally, a video that conveys the beauty of a clean MR2. I think a picture/video can never do a car complete justice, but this is great. I saw an MR2 like this on the street once, and I was blown away by how downright impressive it looked just sitting at the light. I had never thought much of the MR2's looks before, I just thought it it was a great car... but in person, this thing looked like a missile waiting to launch. Imo, people who think the MR2 is "meh" haven't seen a nice one in person.

thanks man. I was on megan coilovers, and the front i could not go any lower, even removed a collar. If i did it over again, I would run either Tein or BC's because the megans rode like crap. Yep, I am in the DC area. The video was taken in chantilly.
