Can someone explain why at 2:31 that shot was allowed, I was under the assumption you have to go in order and then the striped ball is the last ball that goes in.

That's the 9 ball, you can pot that to win the frame

The 9 ball can be made at any time to win the match as long as the lowest number ball on the table is hit 1st. No ball needs to be called in 9 ball, although it is rare to see a ball go in on accident at this level of play, which allows the player to continue shooting.

The rules says : The cue ball have to touch 1st the ball with the lowest number still on the table. Then, the shot is avaliable if you dont make another foul (pot the cue ball for exemple). Then, you can play another shot only if you pot at least 1 ball (except cue ball or 9 ball) If the 9 ball is potted with an avaliable shot, you win. So, that means you can break hitting the 1 ball with the cue ball, potting the 9 ball at the same.time and... win the game. Another example, you are breaking, hit the 1 ball and pot it. Then you have the right to play another shot. Imagine that the 2 ball is stuck to the 9 ball and the 9 ball is really close to fall in the pocket. You just have to touch the 2 ball to pot the 9, and it s a win 😊 I hope it s enough clear Sorry for my bad english, im french 😅
