What a great end to an amazing series! Love the short well thought out game after the post-imperial carnage of game 4. Incredible series and really enjoyed seeing lower-rated players heavily contributing in a game with the legends of Viper and Daut. I look forward to seeing more from you guys!

I've seen the viper play this in the past and end it all with petards. I was expecting him to wall himself and do the same. I'm surprised no one gave that a serious shot, but it was still a good strategy from the winner team. If the loser team got a couple of rams out, that'd have changed everything.

nah they had cataphracts (not sure how you spell it) and rams are too costly considering there are only like 6 gold tiles

I like aoe2 but I prefer chess, because reaction time plays too big of a role in aoe2. It basically comes down to who presses the buttons faster.

It`s a actually what makes this game so great, you need to be skilled on so many levels. - Acknowledge - Strategy - Map awareness - Smart desicion making - Adaptation to map and enemy - High amount of APM A deficit in one aspect can be compensated, but on the expert level you need all of these close to perfection.

If only squeek had repaired his TC the game could have easily gone the other way. Dauts team seemed in the stronger position coming out of the initial tower rush without many losses, and fair killing so many vils with his scout rush. *edit since reply is not working: They destroyed the treb right after the last hit. He only needed to repair the TC a little bit. Sure that spot was vulnerable to another treb attack until they could get to imp, but they just needed to focus their energy on protecting him long enough to do so.

There's no way he could repair it fast enough to counter even one trebuchet's damage, let alone two or three, especially considering the trebs were on a hill

If he reacted a bit faster with the karambits he could kill the trebs and save the tc

there were way too many vils there repairing the treb, there's no way the karambits could have killed the vils aswell before dying to the castle.

you should play on voobly. There are people you know probably playing there. That's where everyone went once Zone died. Many of today's pros were zone players. (Slam, Chris, Daut). The meta has changed significantly.
