I plan to turn my five year into a ten year. I will just continue on the right side in the same way I've been doing the left. One thing I started doing to help me keep up with the entries is using bullet points instead of full sentences when I can get away with it.

omg yay Ashley you are adding a hobo weeks! and Daisy! what is this memo book?! I NEED THIS! Also I think also decided that I'm going to get a 5 year Midori, I'm hoping I keep up with it. It was so fun seeing everyone's planners I was looking forward to when this video was going to come out! Christine's handwriting and planner is soooo NEAT I am so jealous! May's TN is how I want my TN vertical insert to turn out over the years! and that Kitta tip is genius! Love that Hightide planner that Ashley has, I really wanted to get it but I have literally accumulated too many planners for the near year! 6 years in the Art Print for Authan! wow that's amazing love that you have you know this planner really well and have built a system of what works for you in this planner, that's my ultimate goal! Your artwork is sooo beautiful! Amy and Christine's color coding is sooo on point, I'm going to do the same! That cover you got on ebay Amy love it and I'm also going to do a separate blank notebook for journaling! Where's Neil's planners?! hehehe Happy Holidays Yoseka Team!!

Everyone's planners are so great and the advice to not give up if you fall out is so important. I'm using the PAL planner for the first time this year and it's really working out well! I use the right side for scheduled tasks/appointments/blocking out time and the left for daily tasks. Still trying to figure out the monthly pages but generally going great. Really love how stamp washi fits in the columns, haha

Ahhh! So many great ideas! Thank you team Yoseka for sharing your planner strategies, both what worked for you and where you saw room to change it up for the year ahead. Especially loved Christine's beautiful techo system key and May's use of kitta washi to disguise/cover up. Nicer than correction tape!! Was it May who gave us "logger vs. planner"? Genius. (I'm definitely more on the logger side of that continuum.) Re: 5-year diaries, I'm on my second MacGyvered A6 Stálogy, having begun in 2017. What's been key for me, for that daily practice, is to set aside devoted time to reflect and write. For me, this is at the close of the day. Think highlights, a summary. When you come around to this day again that's often all that's needed to spark the memories. And enjoy!!

I LOVED every minute of this! Ashley, your voice is so comforting and joyful. Daisy, I teared up right along with you. Christine, the title page of your TN insert is gorgeous - love the way you incorporated Zig dots! Wow, May's monthlies! (Bonus points for those "white-out washi" strips!) I love Alex's use of the Ro-Biki in her TN, not to mention her color coordination. Authan, your drawings are next level. I too have the mon oncle and would appreciate your opinion on what the best medium would be to add a touch of color to that canvas-type cover. (I normally wouldn't do something as blasphemous as marring a Hobo cover but the Itami drawings just seem to invite a bit of coloring in.) Lastly, Amy: I also have and am continuing to use my gorgeous Shaun Tan A6 cover. (I LOVE that interior color.) I have some pretty weird dreams. I mean, don't laugh (or do), but Gojira has made a few appearances in my dreams, and this cover reminds me of the effect those dreams have on me. So, this houses my dream techo. I'll use the aforementioned Weeks for appts/budget/health. And I treated myself to a minä perhonen zippered cover with the inaugural English edition of the Cousin, which I will use as a copybook, if you will, for favorite quotes/lyrics/passages (a great way to play with fountain pen inks), and for sentimental paraphernalia, ponderous musings, etc. Like you, Ashley, I am not so much a planner as I am a logger. Thank you for sharing, everyone! 💚✌️

I love seeing everyone’s setups, it’s super helpful for inspiration! every year I think about getting a planner, but they never seem to work for me; it’s like Ashley said - I’m more of a logger than a planner. what I did this year was hand draw a monthly calendar in whatever journal/diary I was using at the moment, and that’s about all I needed since my life is mostly boring and uneventful 😅 I’d like to keep a similar system next year, I just can’t stop looking at all these planners haha

totally agree with christine! for those working on the 5yr don’t give up if you don’t fill out every day! just pick it back up it’s OK! the right page of my 5yr is a mixed bag right now😂 sometimes i have more i want to write so i’ll continue on there or there’s a picture (usually of my cat) or a piece of ephemera i want to put in there. i recommend checking out james burke creative on youtube he has a few videos of his 5yr and they’re so inspirational ❤

ahhh I wanted the deco rush for media, games, etc too, but they were limited edition and by the time I saw them...🤧 I like my 5 year because if I skip some days... I still have 4 years to put something on that page! It's the only journal type thing I use, so I've used the right side for: entry overflow from the left side, thanksgiving menus, concert setlists, a full page journal entry on travel I did that day including photo stickers (backfilled after the trip), minor scrapbooking, writing samples to test out ink. If I was any good at drawing, I would probably do that...

Motivated to hold my techo kaigi soon. 😊

Thank you to everyone for sharing their planners! Literally enjoyed seeing every single person’s planner. I also found it amazing that despite you all working in a stationery store filled with all the options everyone is able to restrain themselves to only 2-3 planners. Whereas in the planner community (myself included) it’s so common to be trying to use 5+ planners because of all the options… and we aren’t even physically surrounded by all the planners like you all are. 😅😂 Would definitely be interested in seeing the gantt chart type planner that Authan uses and also just how to exactly use that type of planner.

This year i have more than 15 planners 😂 so i’ve been super careful to not overbuy planners like last year. Now i have hobonichi techo a6, weeks, 5-year, molekine daily a6, Marks storageit, hightide (the bunny cover one), travelers notebook monthly and vertical weekly. I think i will swap between them to find what system suits me the most. I love the process of experimentation. 😊

Im super planner confused this year, I’m starting a new job soon and I just don’t know what I’ll need. For the five year Christine is so right about not getting every day filled out, for some of this year I used the right hand side to log my thoughts as I was reading the daily stoic, I found that really good. I’ve thought for 2023 I’ll maybe keep track of what I was reading as I’m trying to read consistently. I’ve basically thought about tracking habits on the 5 year instead of annual, as I think it would be interesting to see over several years.

This was so fun to see everyone's planner set ups! Last year I had the High Tide Les Agenda planner and it made me realize I love weekly block layouts, but I wanted something a little bigger this year. I also used a TN with a weekly Jibun insert and monthly insert for work, and a Hobonichi a6 notebook for journaling (as I love Hobonichi but I'm awful with dailies haha). This year, I got excited without thinking fully, ha, and I got both the PAL planner and the OURS Research Project Journal - so I decided I'll use PAL for personal planning, and the Research journal for focused hobbies (like learning a new language, art project planning, etc). I then also got the mon oncle Hobonichi Weeks, and I think I'm going to use it for work planning. And I have my Hobonichi a6 notebook with fun covers that I just use year-round now for journaling. Yes, it's a lot and we'll see how this goes haha. Thank you Ashley, Daisy, and everyone else for showing us all of yours! Such great ideas. :)

This year I will continue with the Hobonochi Cousin using it for Bill Tracking but will use the daily pages for journaling. Will use the A6 English techo for work instead of journaling. Staying with the weeks for EDC and I added the 5 year journal this year to also journal in. Looks like it's a hobonochi year again lol. Loved seeing your planners from 2022 and what you are planning for 2023. They are so pretty and definitely an inspiration. Forgot to add the Makse Life companion notebooks for goals and just decided to add another hobonochi weeks mega for tracking meals, blood sugar and excercise.

This year I drew my spreads in a Stalogy for the 3rd year in a row and journaled in a Namami Writer. Next year I’m back in the Hobonichi Cousin and journaling in a Nanami Crossfield. Like everyone else I opted out of drawing so much but next year I’ll probably do the Wonderland 222 - I’ve tried it before but missed daily pages being altogether or the Sterling Ink Common Planner since that will come in dated A5 next year.
