My middle finger retracted back into my hand seeing him do the “mono swing through move”
@onzie94 жыл бұрын
I totally trust him that that was the only way to do that move, but damn it looks like he can get more fingers in there. The need to spin is probably the main driver for doing that as a mono.

Cracks should probably have their own rating system. The top crack climbers can't climb the top boulders, but the top boulderers can't climb the top cracks either. Doesn't really make sense to compare them.
@TheUCuber5 жыл бұрын
I understand where you're comming from, but it's still a boulder problem. Should crimpy routes get a seperate grading system because I suck at them, but feel like big powerful moves are a walk in the park? Every disciplin of bouldering should be praticed in my opinion and fall under the same category.
@BennyH115 жыл бұрын
@@TheUCuber Agreed, well said.
@benja_mint5 жыл бұрын
i think it gets more like that the higher the grade, regardless of discipline. the more specialized you get, the more nobody else can do your routes and the more you cant even do routes at that grade in other styles. having said that, ondra likes a good crack and i would love to see a video of him trying this, for comparison

@lukemaclean46065 жыл бұрын
It really depends on the technique being used. There are many climbers still pushing their limits into old age and some climbers getting major chronic injury in their 30s or even 20s. Ultimately, it often depends on how well you're paying attention to the method that you use to approach the sport. I've heard people try to blame their injury on the sport or their age but when you dig deeper it's always something they were doing that they just decided to ignore or just didn't know about.
