I teared up a bit hearing about your first trip at Circus Circus. We went as a family in the early 2000s and it was a BIG deal for our family. I loved the comment that Circus Circus may be someone’s first trip and everyone should have a fun time. Love the vlogs!

This is my favorite video that you have ever done. When I used to start going to vegas regularly, I had such a tiny budget and stayed at Imperial Palace. I still miss it. Like you, I have a much bigger budget and stay at much nicer places, but never forget those early trips. Vegas is all about wonderful memories and fun. I love your channel!❤

As always, loved your Vlog! Especially being tipsy at Fontainebleau. Your roots story brought up memories, good and bad. I used to go with my husband 4 times a year, and we would bring back slot buckets from every new casino to our young son. LOL, Some kids get t-shirts, our son got slot buckets. But one year when Brad was about 11, I had time to go on Spring Break but hubby did not, so I brought Brad to Vegas and we stayed at Circus Circus, the idea being he could have fun, and then at night, momma could gamble after he was safely asleep in the room. Well, they put us in some outbuilding that looked like a Motel 6. There were street gangs in the parking lot. So no gambling for mom. Housekeeping was horrible. Took Brad to Mirage for Siegfried & Roy and got back to the room at 1:30 AM to find hairs on the toilet, no fresh towels, ashtrays filled with ciggy butts. The pool was tiny and cold. When we returned home I wrote a letter to Circus Circus to complain. Got a letter back offering me discounted room ($15 a night). I told them they couldn't pay me enough to ever return to their hotel! And never been back since. LOL. Different years, different origin stories! My first trip was in about 1989 right when Mirage first opened and we stayed there. Wonderful memories all around!

OMG Kim- my 1st Vegas trip back in 1979, weeks also stayed at Circus Circus. I remember we booked for 5 days and I lost all my money in the 1st hour 😂. I don’t know why - but I was playing dollar slots- I believe it was a fruit machine. Thank goodness I was with my sisters & cousin because they floated me cash for the remainder of our trip. We had so much fun. We dressed up every night, went to 3 different shows and even went to Paul Ankas Disco. Can’t even count how many more times I have gone back. We just love it there!!!!

Growing up in San Diego and having a dad who liked gambling, a lot, ww took many road trips to Vegas! We usually camped at the Circus Circus campground or sometimes we splurged on a room! My brother and I had the best time upstairs in Circus Circus and mom loved not having to cook dinner for a few days and dad LOVED blackjack! This was in the 70s and the place honestly hasn't changed that much. I'm a new subscriber and am thoroughly enjoying your series! Thank you for the wonderful content!

Loving the videos Kim. November 2005 was my first trip, also stayed at Circus Circus. I stay at nicer hotels these days, but always return to Circus Circus for a gamble 😊.

Kim, Wow I thought the last video was really good. Thank you for taking us down memory. I loved it!! I think we all have a story about our 1sr time to Vegas. I will make my short. My big brother took me for my 21 st bday. He went all out we flew (my 1st time) we had Champagne on the flight, He had a Limo waiting for us with the chauffeur holding my name !! I felt to special it was an amazing trip. My 2nd time we flew I had a coke no champagne and a taxi and no chauffeur. I thought this isn’t the Vegas I know!! Turned out to be the Best time ever!! We talk about the 2nd trip all the time. I can’t wait to find out who you’re having dinner with.

Thank you for the trip down memory lane! This brought back so many memories. Ours are very similar. My first trip was back in 1995 with a girlfriend and we stayed at the Imperial Palace. The only thing she wanted to eat was buffets and play 5 Cent slots. You made me laugh about the payphones because I can remember calling my husband from the payphone collect two times in the week just to make sure the kids were OK because they were just tiny at the time. I remember when Bellagio opened and you’re right it was so different then. I think it was 1999 when they opened and they had a dress code and nobody under 18 was allowed on the property and it was so glamorous. And you mentioned the coins and the buckets I remember bringing buckets home as souvenirs for everyone and decks of playing cards and I loved the sound of the coins clinking into the tray each time you won. This was definitely my favourite Vlogma and I feel like I got to know you a little bit better. I can’t wait for the next one.

This was a grand idea to go down memory lane! Your first time in Vegas sounds a lot like mine. Sigma Derby but at the Frontier. Also loved playing the three coin Wheel of Fortune. Beautiful reminiscing, we began going to Vegas in 1994 from Massachusetts. One of our sons in the Air Force had a short stay there so we went to see him. I loved Vegas!!! Our son showed us different places and in 2002 he and his fiance had their wedding at the Venetian! In all we went there 50 times until 2018. Then age issues came, but some day we will go back there. I visited in 97 for the first time and went late nov early dec until 2019. Stayed gold coast very 1st time in the days there was a shuttle bus every 15 mins 24-7. Absolutely loved it but last time it was getting quite dodgy on the strip. Love watching the vlogs n have started a list of restaurants n new things i want to see. Thanks merry Christmas
