I think the truth is that, he's been in a lot of underrated movies that were truly great and in which he was really spectacular and you could relate to his characters thanks to his performances. For instance, Prisoners was a really powerful movie and he killed every second of each of his scenes. Same goes for Jarehead or even a movie like Brothers. Man, looking at his filmography, comforts me in the idea that he's really done some great things since Donnie Darko, and i'm pretty confident that his acting has evolved significantly since then.

I love “End of Watch”. It’s so gritty and real. The dialogue but also the demeanor they bring. That and the whole cartel thing was so scary and ominous. Especially when the agents pull up after they find all the ppl the cartel was trafficking.

I think Conan is the GOAT, when it comes to playful jabs with guests. He won't let the guest roll-over him, but still keeps it all light-hearted and funny. Might not seem like much, but if you think about it... Carson, Letterman, etc.. Were great at it, but there was still tension involved, unsually. But with Conan, he takes up for himself while keeping it friendly, and knows how to properly address the elephant in the room. Bravo, Coco. You're the real hero.

Imagine if most, if not all, Hollywood actors and actresses did a single ride-along with police officers in a major city with "real" crime, let alone doing it 2-3 times per week for 5 months. How would it change their tone with the anti-police rhetoric we hear spread to the masses by "influential" figures? Ignorance is bliss....Jake talking about the family talk, friendship, humanity, and joking he witnessed inside the police car was real. Then, the call comes in, and it's time to go to work. Many of these departments have officers going from call, to call, to call. Meaning, stabbing, to robbery, to burglary, to rape, to shooting. When they start their shift, they're already 20 calls behind from the shift prior not being able to get to them because of the sheer call volume. (How's your mental/emotional status, fatigue, and/or mood at this point? And some people want to DEFUND the police??? instead of advocating for giving them more resources?) Many people can't comprehend that fact, and many people call for "defunding" the police....Ok, which division would you like to defund first? Homicide? Auto theft? Domestic Violence? Traffic Enforcement? The Detective units? Evidence Technicians? Child Abuse?

no it doesnt make you corrupt, but that doesnt mean the military is not corrupt and should not be held in high regard when it has a history of corruption. that being said i am beyond realistic about the situation and I know that there are good cops, but unfortunately when the organization as a whole continues to be corrupt it should be recognized which it is. i dont respect cops or military members because of the few good ones or think they are all shit because of a few bad ones.
