It's so good to hear Conan as what he really is, an interviewer and journalist and without a commercial break every 5 minutes.
@AntonQvarfordt
@AntonQvarfordt 2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure he is nor would claim to be a journalist. But certainly a great interviewer and I love this series very much because I feel like it's lifting the contraint of having to maximize the funny and the size of the audience for it... Where he can talk to people he find interesting and the stuff they do that's interesting in a more in-depth way... Not having to go for the joke etc.

sakamuras s I personally believe the stock market system should be removed, but while it's in play, I might as well make some money to earn my living. What's fucking up the markets is not the stock market. It's the people that don't spend lots of time researching and learning the trade and 'gamble'. It's like saying ban guns, but guess what, it's the people that misuse guns that is the ultimate evil.

+Cameron Taylor urgh Martha Stewart no . I'm thinking Jon Stewart or Bill Gates (about his charity foundation) heck even Brad Pitt about his work in New Orleans. Bernie Sanders should make a stop about the corruption in campaigning when he inevitably loses to Hilary Clinton (which I'm not pleased about). I would also love Christopher Nolan because I think he is such of genius (other than The Dark Knight Rises though).

I took several ethics courses in college and they only increase unethical behavior. The textbooks are wall to wall cases of bad ethics such as Enron. This normalizes unethical behavior and makes students think "everyone is doing it" and shows off how much money can be made doing it. It only makes it worse.
@CHURCHISAWESUM
@CHURCHISAWESUM 8 жыл бұрын
Ethics classes in a philosophical background are better about this. They point to what wise men say about ethics rather than examples of unethical behavior. They try to work out the "logics" of ethics
@MS-he3wz
@MS-he3wz 8 жыл бұрын
+Pegasi I agree. That's what my ethics class was like. It was purely philosophical and presented different ideological approaches to morality and ethics. I guess the OP must have taken different courses.
@robotpanda77
@robotpanda77 8 жыл бұрын
MS Mine were mostly ethics as it relates to business. Typically the philosophy ones are not required for a degree but most business degrees will require at least one business ethics course.
@MS-he3wz
@MS-he3wz 8 жыл бұрын
robotpanda77 I see, but mine were also for a business degree. I took them in business school, but it was still more about philosophy (utilitarianism, libertarianism, Kant, etc) as opposed to real-life examples of unethical behavior. And then for practice, they would ask us to put ourselves in the shoes of an executive and decide how to act given certain ethical dilemmas. We didn't use a textbook though..I live and studied in Europe btw, so I'm pretty sure it's very different in the US (if that's where you're from).
@robotpanda77
@robotpanda77 8 жыл бұрын
MS Yeah these are all American courses. I don't know how they teach in Europe but this sort of thing is pretty standard from elementary school up. American history is taught as "look how mean we were to the indians. Look how mean we were to blacks. Look how mean we were to the vietnamese. Etc." Then they go "but it's wrong so don't". And like a parent that curses and tells their kid not to, they instead basically guarantee the child will. It's a vicious cycle.
