I'll do some more videos on it after we get the clutch installed on it and then when I set it up for the final test just before the Enduro.

Can’t find any comment box to remark on your shameful LOMF! How on earth did that track find it’s way onto any Garmin mapping? Maybe it was some honey gathering grandma on a C50 who made those ruts and forced her way through!

@@Kathikas1 I wonder the same thing. The first part of the trail went to that shelter in the clearing, and someone built the bridge to get there. I wonder how many years ago that shelter was built and what was it's purpose?

@@Vintage_Garage That's one of our regular beer stops when we go ride. Just so happens that where the start of this trail is was close to that beer stop so when we came out of there, we had a cold Leo and then had a steak at another restaurant close by. All in all, it was a pretty good day....

@@Vintage_Garage Could be just about anything, but there are locals that travel these trails in search of items they can eat. Mushrooms, ant eggs, different types of vegetations, you see people out foraging all the time.

El' Diablo will be down for a while for the prep work for an upcoming Thai enduro. It should be a good looking bike once I get it finished....

great job Eddie that is some pretty taxing terrain you both rode👍

Yea I know, do you realize how many beer stops we had to make to get through that day? We also through a lunch stop in there.... I was exhausted after that ride....

So when will you do an LS engine swap? I think that will be the final piece of the puzzle that makes this a perfect bike though I think you'll need a bigger wheel in the back.
@TeamDNFracing3 ай бұрын
In 1982 the Husqvarna race bikes came with a 17 inch rear wheel. The CT has a 17 inch rear wheel, I'd much rather have a 21 inch wheel up front, a little longer swing arm and longer rear shocks with longer front forks. No need to go to a LS engine, just need to utilize what this engine has to be able to keep it in the torque sweet spot, a manual clutch will do that. The Thai racers regularly modify the Honda Wave bikes and it's amazing what they can do with them and the places they can go on them. Suspension is the key to be able to go places and being able to keep the power at the right RPM's....

@@TeamDNFracing Cool information, I was just being sarcastic with the LS. Every time I hear someone wanting to do an engine swap on their car/truck it's either an LS or Cummins. I'm considering buying a cheap CT and putting electric hub motors on front and rear. I'd add a generator to the engine to power them. I'm liking the idea of 2wd and the ability to hold 65 mph up hill.

@@wantblackwolf Hey, if we can get a Cummins in this frame, I'm all for that. I can just imagine rolling some coal going up some of these hills.... Keep up the commits, we try to answer them all.... Still not through making this into a Thai enduro ready bike. As far as we know, nobody has ridden a Honda CT in a Thai enduro. We will have at least two of them in the October Lampang enduro....

Eddie, it would Nicke to how the performs on a straight road
@TeamDNFracing3 ай бұрын
On pavement straight roads it handle great, with the V-Rubber tires on it. Just a little more care is needed on pavement with the knobbies on it. On dirt roads, sand and mud as it is now, it handles very well also and I'll be doing a short video on the rice paddies to show that before we go to the Lampang Enduro in October. I did have the front tire wash out on me the other day on a paved corner that had a lip in it and a bit of loose gravel. First time for that to happen. As for the top speed it is now geared for off road and it will do 100 KPH but I don't like running it up that high. Normally, we keep them around 60 to 70 KPH and that's plenty fast enough for me.... The camshaft that came with the High Speed head really let it rev out and that was partly because when they installed that on it, they raised the limit on the Rev-limiter which I didn't know they did, but it was really fast with that setup, just had no low end....

Why are you this time taking the CT and not your offroad bike?
@TeamDNFracing3 ай бұрын
This is the first off road ride I've had on the CT since I had all the work done. It is also in the process of being set up to ride in a Thai Enduro in October. Have to find out what works and what doesn't. Going to have a manual clutch installed on it so it is easier to get the RPM's up to the sweet Torque range. With the setup it has, on really steep terrain it is difficult to get it to power up. I've still got the Yamaha WR155 but will ride it in more open terrain events where the suspension and longer wheelbase shows off the power and handling. In really tight terrain like this was, it is extremely heavy at 285 pounds and is difficult for me to lift it up when I tip over with it. Different bikes for different terrain....
