TEEEEAAAAA!!! Talk about OPTIONS! I love them all, and yes, the last one would be fine. It's dominant color is blue and I can tell. I am so excited to see what all you get to for the challenge, and looking forward to hearing more of your story. Thank you for helping bring awareness!💙

I love the Lander pants because they give a nod to the wide leg trend without being too wide. More wearable for petite ladies. I have been working with some wide leg trouser patterns, but they are always way too wide and long for me, so I have to adjust the patterns to fit.

I agree! I love the Lander Pants! They are my favorite pant pattern. Have you tried the Peppermint Magazine wide leg pants? It's a free download.

You have great pattern ideas and fabric choices. I purchased some light blue shirting fabric this past summer and may take a top pattern like McCalls 8256 and hack into a tiered peasant dress. I was in awe when I saw your video make of this simple peasant top pattern. I’m totally inspired by this challenge. Prediabetes and diabetes affect so many people particularly women of color. I’m glad sewists are galvanizing around these conditions.

I'm excited that this challenge is shedding light on this disease as well! I'm fortunate to have been able to keep myself in the borderline diabetic phase all these years. Although I have gained a lot of weight since I've been diagnosed. I'm trying hard to lose weight so that I don't fall into the diabetic phase. It's challenging and hard. I love your sewing plans!

Your "ambitious plans" for November look great! Yes, I can see that blue is your favorite color, and I love the ideas you have come up with. I'm so glad attention is being brought to diabetes - it affects so many people. My mom and sister were both borderline - my mother was able to get to normal A1C with diet and exercise while my sister took meds. However, my niece wound up in the hospital as she did not know she had become diabetic - she thought her symptoms were just part of getting older and now she has an insulin pump. Treatment now is so much better than it was, which is good, but fewer people needing treatment would be even better.

I agree! It's better to strive for fewer people getting treatment, especially since treatment for diabetes is a multimillion dollar business. The medical profession and pharmaceutical industry push for people to pursue meds before ever encouraging people to establish a normal range and good exercise options. I was in my 20s when my doctor told me I was borderline diabetic. Thank goodness she pushed me to eat healthier and pressed upon my mind the dangers I would face if I did not make better life choices. I've seen many friends pass away from diabetes, mostly because of the treatment options. I would never tell people to omit medical assistants or medications. However, in many cases, you can reverse the effects or at least keep symptoms of the disease at bay with a proper diet and exercise plan
