The NHL rules mention that when you use your feet to put the puck inside the goal intentionally it's an illegal goal (7:25). It's only legal if it was done by accident. Another thing is that if the puck gets out the ring, it's not like in soccer where someone takes the puck and throws it to you. You have to do a faceoff.
