Spoilers below: AJ won this race on the track. It’s easy for me to find this hilarious but this was a gigantic screw up on iRacing’s part. I wish iracing would/could invalidate this race. I hope my sarcasm about “winning” was clear. Having a strong feeling the results would not get changed, I thought back to a quote from something that I’d like to think is part of the great western canon: ARCA Brake Weekly. “It’s the logical thing to do.”

How poetic as juxtaposed with the beginning. “We have identified the technical…issue and have remedied it…we are unable to amend the results” IM SORRY WHAT?? You are the sanctioning body?!? You clearly can invalidate the race and or use your own proprietary replays to go back to 1 to go/as close to the finish as you wish to fix the results but you don’t care enough since Max/Jimmer isn’t in this split, just be honest about it dude lmao. Sorry it turned out this way Brendan, hope iracing can get its shit together better than this going forwards man.

They've already stated they're not gonna vacate the results or add an aditional split. I was in this race and i'm pissed because I'm gonna have to use this as a drop week. Couldn't run it Friday because i work, and couldnt run saturday because of the 12h. having to drop this when this is one of my best tracks, because of a screw up is just unaccepable

Like you in the beginning I thought "Nah, it's just a mistake in the display, we won't get DQ'd. iRacing wouldn't let something that dumb happen". I didn't really take into consideration that it was under the Formula license either because I thought well maybe they consider this whole series a Formula series. Nothing we could do at the moment anyway because we were in unprecedented territory. I got wrecked 19 laps in and finished 14th, I think I should have been last. It's funny but not funny at the same time for the people who put in the time and effort. They should have invalidated the points at least or if it was possible DQ everyone and maybe that would have set the correct finishing order. Note that iRacing only mentioned iRating and not points. I've been around since 08 and I think it might be the most unusual thing I can remember happening.

I remember someone did this during a NASCAR All-Star race too. You had to make a pit stop in one segment. His pit stall was before the start-finish, so on the last lap of that segment he did his stop and crawled over the line. And won it. Guess what happened to that rule shortly thereafter?

Why do you keep saying this was changed to Auto Club at the last minute? It was on the schedule since at least the running of Sebring....I ran practice laps here the day after the first round of Sebring races because it was listed as the next race.....
