Holy. Turning off that quick attack on weapon pickup is MASSIVE. The amount of times I've gotten screwed over by that is crazy. Even though I have to rebind my muscle memory, that genuinely changed the whole game for me. Like seriously why are these settings even on by default?

If yall wanna jump and GP or REC at the same time you can make one of the back buttons into a jump button just for that. Its uncomfortable to hit X and O at the same time or A and B for Xbox controllers

Controller tips: 1 use dpad 2 use LB/L1 for dodge 3 use RT/R2 for weapon pickup/throw and also Y/triangle 4 use RB/R1 for heavy attacks

I use analog for every other game, but games like brawlhalla or MK or Street Fighters, i only use D-pad, this is still a good tip to know, all the tips are great

Yeah I think dpad is better for movement because it's way more precise. I so the same for smash clones and fighting games

Just a shower thought; can't you just bind the 'y' key to jump, so you don't have to slide your finger and get a callus from sliding your finger, when using jump + heavy.

At casual level yes... at competitive level and improving everyday mindset : No... let me tell you why: Analog Triggers. The analog triggers on the gamecube pad doesn't allow you to dash as fast as someone any other controller with triggers that are either Digital or offer way less resistance than a Gamecube trigger . Also, the gamecube d-pad is pretty bad, and if you want the most precise movement on a controller you need a good d-pad. My recommendation would be for you to buy a PS4 controller, if you have a bit more of money buy a PS5 controller and if money is not a problem to you and you trully want to excel at this game buy a PS5 Dualsense Edge Controller which provides you with the option to transform your triggers to minimun analog travel with a switch on the back of the controller. Otherwise, a gamecube controller will get you to high gold most of the time, if you are very gifted at the game it may allow you to rank higher, but at platinum/ diamond level, you need a good controller to improve everyday given that technical difficult ramps up a lot when in Platinum / Diamond Ranked matches.

I a Mobile bh player i started with d pad but now i use joy stick /anlog stick i feel like its better for gauntlet d light and n air TRUE combo but I'm just a kid on my moms phone tho 😅 but for some reason on my brother phone which is better then my moms phone you can't double input like scythe n light and n air i don't know why and its a new acount btw my rank is gold but i can catch dodges and play mordex like a lot and i love scythe

With respect mate but you are wrong about those PS5 controllers, ive gone through 3 due to stick drift. this isnt even a personal opinion either, everyone i know who has a PS5 has tossed countless of ps5 controllers away, even heard from countless EB Games employees that they sell alot because they are shit and break easy NEVER USE!!! PS5 CONTROLERS!!! USE PS4, the PS5 controllers joysticks develop stick drift quicker and thumbpad is very different, more comfortable if u don't use joysticks (been playing PlayStation my entire life) you'll find that ps4 is the better go and they last alot longer in terms of joysticks and have more comfortable thumbpads and they sound better.
