Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment! That’s a great question. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend anyone in your situation move here for anything less than 100k. Some would give a significantly higher number but there are so many factors involved. What is your current standard of living? Are you getting a housing or relocation allowance? What type of house do you plan to stay in? What is your definition of comfortable? Do you have kids? Think i’ll do a video on this! Look out for it later this week. Thanks for the idea!

Never seen a video like this man...good job and timely. I think you covered most of the basics, I guess I'll add: 1) If you're looking to start a relationship or build a friendship in general, just remember that everybody knows everybody in some way. This could work in your favor or to your detriment. 2) (this is probably the cheap canadian in me) Utilize eMoo as your first stop for your "not everyday" purchasing needs. Vehicles, furniture, fixtures, gadgets....it's used so you'll probably be paying way less than in the stores. Maybe still more than buying overseas, though..lol. As usual with those types of sites...buyer beware. Be on the careful side, only pay cash and go with someone.

Ty for this amazing video. I could use your help in answering a question. I am considering a trip out there, but I hear the internet can go down randomly. I need reliable internet to stream on KZbin. Would that be an issue or is that resolved nowadays? For example, if I am interviewing someone on a KZbin livestream, it would be a disaster for the internet to go down while I am live on the air. Thanks!
@OmarJames3 жыл бұрын
Hello there! Our internet infrastructure isn't great but it's much better than it was just a few years ago. If you are going the cellular data route, we don't have 5g yet but 3/4g is stable (but pricey). Just make sure you don't come during hurricane season because you could easily find yourself without internet or even electricity for several days.
@truepokerdealer3 жыл бұрын
@@OmarJames ty for this quick reply. I really appreciate that. I understand hurricane season, but other than hurricane season, does it shut off randomly or are you just saying it is sorta slow (which is fine)
@OmarJames3 жыл бұрын
@@truepokerdealer here's the deal: depending on where you coming from our internet speeds are either average or a little slower than what you used to. But it's stable. The catch is, many houses need to be rewired because the island environment causes more cable erosion than other places. Internet at my current apartment would drop randomly until I got the entire place rewired and it's been fine ever since. Unfortunately, most people will just complain without knowing they have options. So your internet experience in Bermuda depends greatly on where you access it from. And you may be able to fix that, or you might not.

Bermuda is expensive but it’s worth it!
@Willybean083 жыл бұрын
This country sounds a lot like here in Hawaii. Yes, we get chilly in the winter. Yes, it's expensive. I would not recommend moving to Hawaii, actually. There's not enough space for new homes so all the homes are around 300,000$, usually higher. Anyway, I think Bermuda is the most beautiful country in the world, but if Hawaii was it's own country, we're gonna have a debate. 😁

What is your housing situation for those two months? Hotel? Apartment? Friend’s couch? That’ll likely be the main factor in how much money you will need

very good information, thanks Omar. you didn't talk very much about crime though... what about the crime?
@OmarJames3 жыл бұрын
Hi. You can find other videos on my channel about the crime here. Basically, it’s very safe compared to most other places. We’ve experienced an increase in gang/gun crime in recent years, but that really only affects locals. Otherwise be aware of petty crimes like theft, but it doesn’t happen in levels that are worth mentioning

@@OmarJames thanks, thats nice to hear. I was considering moving to Bahamas first until I heard about the level of crime there. I'm a big boy it doesnt bother me, but I gotta make sure my wife is ok

Yeah. I would say that even at our worst, Bermuda is far safer than Bahamas. More expensive, but you can pretty much walk anywhere at night and be completely safe. Within reason, of course

@@cw9249 it's very expensive. Homes are 1 million and above. Nothing much to do there all year round. May I repeat it very very expensive. There are no renter cars. Everyone rides scotters. Try Panama instead.

You must have alot of money to survive in Bermuda Bermuda is very expensive to live . I will encourage to come to just to visit to see for their selves an make up their mind. Bermuda is not for middle class or working if you are thinking to work here. Bermuda is only lol for the rich. Most Bermudian are on welfare. So,they need to think about it because you come to Bermuda to live !
@OmarJames4 жыл бұрын
great advice! Life he can be rough if you don't either have knowledge, a support system, or lots of money! Preferably you want all three, but you need at least one
@lemondsperinchief40094 жыл бұрын
@@OmarJames Bermuda does not belong to Bermudian anymore. Back in the 40s 50s 60s 70s 80s belong the to the people and it was reasonable to live . Not like now. Back then bemundians had gardens and everyone knew each other and the cost of living was very cheap compared to now. Bermuda was very beautiful back then. Not now.

Most Bermudians are on welfare!?...c'mon man, that's a very misleading statement. admittedly we do have a segment of the population that does rely on assistance, but most Bermudians are quite capable of handling their financial requirements. 2020 has been tough on us but we are resilient people. we are not immune to worldwide issues.
@OmarJames4 жыл бұрын
@@M.Taylor21 this is true. I wouldn't say most Bermudians are on 'welfare' but there's alot of people relying on financial assistance. Especially since covid
@lemondsperinchief40094 жыл бұрын
@@M.Taylor21 if you are working that great news, that is a blessing. Don't get me wrong mr Taylor, yes Bermudian are work 50/50 are not because, I have seen it with my own eyes. No matter what I seen black an white Bermudian on welfare to survive. You have foreign people working in Bermuda aswell for cheap labour. Plus you have homeless Bermudian on the streets an parks in town. So we are living unpleasant days. Look at covid 19 destroying the economy an jobs in Bermuda. Most hotels are closed down and people are lay off until they find new jobs ,if any. Government can't save all jobs and people livelihood so, I wish Bermudian the best .
