I actually think round 3 is the most pivotal in these 5 round games, so many leading teams sit on their laurels and bet 1/2 points when they invariably always get the right answer. It’s usually what starts a comeback so I’m surprised final exam didn’t go for three

If this isn't in the match of the year conversation at the end of the year, we as fans aren't doing our jobs when it comes to voting. Wow. The Odd Couple were spectacular today. The communication was stellar. Andreyko played out of his mind today. These guys at their apex can beat everybody and anybody. Roxy also jumps Gucci in the manager of the year rankings with 3 matches at spectacular. With this tournament win today, I gotta say Sneider overtakes Kalinowski for number 5 in all time rankings. Beating Collins' team, winning another teams tournament and breaking the teams 5 round points record in one match is incredible stuff. No shame to be had by Final Exam. They played extremely well. A few timely misses hurt them, but sometimes you get a few that you don't know. It stinks that Lon couldn't get his first title shot, and Paul couldn't go for his chance of joining the 'multi division belt' club; but sometimes you just run into someone a little better that day. After seeing this match, it sucks so much more that we're not getting teams in 2021. I don't know what Kristian hates about it so much; it's still great. Yes live and studio matches are better, but this is the apex of this particular format. As a fan, I'm extremely happy with how teams played out this year; and thank you to every member of the cast and crew for giving us a great product.

I think what Kristian hates so much about teams is that it pulls the curtain waaay too far back. When a team plays digitally, they have to choose how open they are in deliberating with each other. See Ben Bateman having to admit *on air* that he knew nothing about (Classic) *Oscars* questions, just because it was crucial to give Mark Reilly that information. Or Tom & Paul suffering because Tom stays in character for round 2. Final Exam only did so well this season because Lon drops his character the moment the match starts.

@@joshuaroy7567 those are good points. I personally like seeing the intricacies of team strategy playing out in real time because I'm more here for thr trivia than the character stuff. Bateman not knowing classics makes it easier to study against him sure, but its not like bateman doesn't also watch that tape and figure out he's got to improve there. I think Tom has too much 'atchity vs the patriots' syndrome regardless of the format; so I don't think digital hurt him. And yeah, lon was better served by scaling back a bit, but the delinquent is still the best character of the season.

These matches just keep getting better and better due to the competition. I was rooting for Final Exam, but Jeff and Marc are a force to be reckoned with right now and set themselves up for a good one against Shazam! Can't wait for Spectacular!

This is probably the highest scoring match ever wow amazing stuff. There are so many great matches this year. It'll be impossible to choose match of the year. This year has been amazing in the Schmoedown. One of the few good things about 2020. Spoiler below Jeff Sneider has to be player of the year now. He was in singles and teams finals and now hes in the teams title match. The roxstars have been doing great in the final part of the season. Roxy is definitely getting a manager of the year nomination.

IDK Chance could be IG champ and was the team champ. If Sneider doesn't win a belt it's hard to put him over someone who had 1 and might have 2. If Chance wins the IG belt he gets it for me. If he loses and Sneider wins then Sneider likely gets it for me. Brendan Meyer is criminally underrated this season. Current team champ with 4 straight wins. His 2 losses in singles were by 1 question to the 2 guys playing in the title match at the spectacular. Performance wise he has been on fire. He deserves a nomination. If both Chance and Sneider lose the kid gets my vote

@@ajl9772 You're right. Chance and Brendan have had a great season and Bibbs too. I feel like it all depends on what happens in Spectacular. If Chance gets the IG belt he will have won a belt in two different leagues. Thats a big accomplishment. Dan is also a possibility although he might be singles player of the year. He still hasnt lost in singles but hes 1-2 in teams so maybe that weakens his possibility of getting player of the year. I feel like it'll be Sneider or Chance. Theyve both gone so far in two different leagues and have always played at the top of their games

It's more obvious why he hates it when you see a teams match live with all the changing of rooms and waiting around for people to come in and out. When it's edited down like this it seems a lot smoother than it is in practice.

Sneider is one of the scariest players in the league right now. I would not want to face him right now, he's taken down some serious competition on his way to both tournaments finals, which is something only a handful of players have ever done.

I must say that I thought his Patriots days would be the peak of his schmoedown career but he is proving me wrong this year, currently having the best performances of his career week after week. Probably the most valuable player right now if you combine both of his teams and singles victories (He brought in more than half of the points that Roxstars has and is only trailing Adam Collins as the biggest point earner this season)

Dang that was a great match!!! SO good!! I didn't know who I wanted to win the most because I really like both teams a lot. All 4 players are great! The TMNT conspiracy was just the best and then Ralphie turned out the lights, just the best LOL. I also feel that in teams betting round as long as it it not a category neither know nothing about you should bet 3. The odds are one of them will know the answer or figure it out. Also unless you already up 8 or more.
