@@salvagesigh9705 His reasoning is pretty sound, Decode is useful this format, Metaltron is too slow to be good and most times you don't get to use any of its effects, and Decode is much easier to make since any effect monster can be used.

-_ NDG_- Yeah, Konami will probably keep Joker and Double Iris in the banned list for a little while longer. The deck still functions, obviously, and still a very solid pick up for those not willing to play metal decks like Sky Strikers/Gouki/

I’ve been saying it forever Meteorburst is so underrated

Some cards only shine on certain formats, Meteorburst is good atm because it keeps effects like Raye from activating on the BP, same goes for Decode in a format heavy with targetting effects. The way he spoke about how easy to take apart a TD board is with his deck has much to do with the specific build he made.

Montblanc usually people will end with a Harmonzing on the board doing nothing Instead of summon a level 7 off of Harmonzing it’s better to summon timegazer and use it with harmon to make a meteorburst which will then use its effect to ss oafdragon from your scale Then use meteorburst and whatever LV7 you had to summon absolute dragon Then use electrumite’s effect to pop the absolute to add a chronograph from extra deck to hand, chrono will summon itself and absolute will summon vortex Now use oaf mad chrono to make norito If you’ve already opened with chrono you will already have the timegazer so Harmonzing will summon you your needed level 7 instead which makes the combo much easier And if you’re wondering why not use electrumite’s effect before pend summon it’s because you need it to summon chrono and oaf will add you harmon from your extra deck anyways Hope I explained this in an understandable way

Yeah usually you make borrelsword with the link 2 that you used to pen summon from extra deck. So it's ideal for it to be an effect monster

Underclock can also help him deal lethal damage easier, despite him having other choices for that, but if he can diversify the ways to achieve his strategy then all the better, that's what I'm taking from this profile. Note that he sacrificed greater control potential for a simple 1 turn hold the fort then OTK the opponent next turn.

I don't quite get the whole Absolute interaction. You summon meteorburst, use eff to ss gate zero but then he says he attacks for zero and detaches from Absolute. Wouldn't you have made the absolute from the burst and the gate zero? And if you don't have an Odd eyes in grave already then you can't use Absolutes negate attack effect can you?

You can use Absolutes negate attack effect whenever applicable. You detach the Meteorburst and then it gives you a valid target to summon because the summon is a can effect and resolves after the attack negate.

This is the problem I have with TCG Magicians. Everyone's build looks almost exactly the same. The only time someone's build is different is when they decide to main Apex Avians over Hand Traps.

Yh, if the deck didn't have so many cards it could use banned perhaps you would see some diversity, how come nobody complains about all the other meta decks which are all the same pasta, or even the other most popular rogues which are basically the same? His extra deck is quite different from the usual though, and that reflects the difference.
