There are so many new advanced techniques that have been discovered. You have to know match ups and be able to read people's air dodges. There's lots of spacing involved. Auto canceling moves, b-reversals. Edge guarding has become alot more difficult. Peach has unescapable death combos. Tech chasing, platform canceling. Just watch some recent gameplay, it's amazing.

So when Brawl becomes easier to play? The cancels only made the game like Marvel where every attack links into one another. In brawl, you got to earn your hits and keep getting in if you want to win. Not just get in once and kill a character like marvel.

But Melee and 64 are the competitive smash games, don't say brawl because that is a joke. There's nothing technical about playstation all stars that can make it as fast paced or competitive as 64 or melee
