Teamsters Fight For Job Security, Better Pay At Anheuser-Busch

The Anheuser-Busch brewery in Cartersville, GA is one of 12 U.S. breweries where Teamsters brew, package, and ship the beer that makes it way to homes, bars, and celebrations everywhere.
Like their 5,000 Teamster brothers and sisters across the country, members of Teamsters Local 1129 in Cartersville want a contract that secures jobs and raises pay. The current agreement expires February 29.
“A better paying contract would mean the world,” said Michael Hill, who works at the brewery and is President of Local 1129. “I have two kids and a wife, and we’ve had to cut down. We’re not getting a fair raise with what the market is doing today.”
