Using the lid as a plate is a Korean thing, I find that it is so creative like it's simple but no one think about that. They also fold the cover of cup/bowl noodle to make a little noodle cup

My one accomplishment that even remotely came close to some of these noodle mukbangs is when I managed to scoop an entire serving of maruchan ramen and eat it whole. Like whole, no chew, just chomp and down the hatch. All things considered I hadn’t eaten in almost 48 hours because of traveling. Those noodles may or may not have stayed down 😭

for koreans (and/or people that find it easier) the “big spoon” or “handled plate” is used to catch fall-out foods to eat neater and to make sure no food goes to waste. it’s a very helpful thing to use when eating (noodles especially). BUT also help portion out their bites. idk it sounded so much smarter when i first started watching korean/asian mukbangs. but to each their own! much respect as always :)
