Great intro! I totally agree with you, that stinks to get to the landfill and then have to deal with the load hanging up in the truck. Then, you have to hope the guys at the landfill have some equipment to dig it out for you or do it by hand. I would hate to see your dad have to fight that battle. Great video! It is so much better than watching the Superbowl! Thank you for sharing the video, quantities of debris removal, and information with us!

A typical house is 8 to12 20-25 yd semi trailer loads. 2-6 tons per load. Hoarder houses and when everything is left behind are the worst. Hauling demo is fun until you arrive at the landfill, then it becomes real. Such wonderful sights and smells 🤣

I thought you were coming to get the camera at first! I could have used that barn door track! I’m gonna put one in my shop and use it as a painting partition. Slide it out of the way when I don’t need it. Next time… there’s alway hope for the next time!! That thumb and bucket work great for chomping up dry lumber… if you install a throat behind them… you could just let the Koochie chew and eat. Might save on landfill fees!!! Are you going to take out the concrete? I thought you mentioned wanting some for a fill job you had. Gonna warm up for a few days…. Enjoy it before the rain!

wow. its amazing how some people build stuff and they get away with it. i have experience in brick laying and that my friend was built all kinds of wrong. probably a home owner seeing it on face book. 4inch block and not 8. the joints are suppose to be staggered. joint in row 2 is suppose to be half the block length of row 1. i could go on but wont. glad your tearing it down bud. great vid.

Cool stuff...I need to demolish an old cinder block building and foundation, 3000 sq ft building... lots of concrete. Between equipment rental or hire out, demo, haul off and dump fees I dont see a way to keep this project under $25 grand. Plus, if its anything like my other projects it'll cost me twice as much as I budget for. Any better methods or tips to keep costs down and make this thing disappear?
@eliteearthworksllc2 жыл бұрын
If you had an area on site where you could dump the stuff that would help. I’ve even smash the blocks with the excavator before and used that for a sub base on a drive way. Demo is just expensive that’s the bad part about it
