I wrapper my spare CA18DET that Ove had for 15yrs got it for 300 AUD. I used the old exausht cam on the CA I had on the inlet side as the CAS had moon was worn. I took the spare engine exausht can and put it on the exausht side and some adjustable cam gears and got a 50hp gain froma cheap mod. Also is more fuel efficient but would love to RB20DET swap it or a Spool CA stroker kit. Enjoying all the vids and that's one sweet RB20DET should get a Hypergear turbo for it.

Good vid as always Joel, you should do get an RD28ETi from a GU Patrol and swap it into a ceffy some time lol
@stack3dit2 жыл бұрын

What are you gonna do with the RB25 engine? Love the content btw very entertaining and can't wait to see this ceffy hit the streets soon enough once the engine rebuilt and in the cef. Keep up the great work!

Hey mate, I’m currently importing a cefiro, and it is getting rb20det swapped over in Japan before arrival in Aus, I’ve been given a choice by the importer wether I want to go with a 25 instead, however I was kind of keen on the idea of making a nice street car out of an rb20, but kind of figured if he could source a Neo it would make it more appealing for me? What are your thoughts between the 2 for street cars. Would love second opinions from anyone. Yes I’m aware stock torque and power is a lot more liveable on the 25, had a 500hp 25 in a 33.

Nothing beats a good 20det man but overall if you have the chance to go neo would probably be the better option if you wanna go more power down the line 🤙

Go for a neo theyre bulletproof for rb’s my motors been beaten on since 2017 an it’s still going strong only ever had oil changes and spark plugs and coil packs. Will be getting stripped and rebuilt when I get the money though I had it plus t for a while in my ownership an the motors a bit tired now due to no tune so wanna refresh it all an plus t properly with a tune etc

Still gets 4th gear if it’s tied up now I’ve gone to DE only issue is it uses a bit of oil. Think the rings are a bit stuffed
@lachlanwernicke77362 жыл бұрын
It’s essentially an extra $4,500 for a neo to be sourced an fitted to the original price, would that sway either of your opinions?

Love rb20s but 25 neos are the far better motor
