I personally want to build mine into a 421 Serval. If it was me I'd keep the 472 and build it back to good running condition, then make 100% that it's dialed in correctly and running the correct mixture to keep it cool. Maybe even have it dyno tuned to where it has all the awesome power, but a hair on the rich side for prolonged life :) I personally could never use the full power of a 521 where I ride, or even a 472 for that matter. They are fun and all but the bigger you go, the harder it will be to keep it cool and your gonna have to extend the swingarm even further to keep the front end down. That's just my 2 cents, but do whatever feels right for you and your application. Keep it up man!

521 brotha let's go haha. Sucks you need to re nick but then maybe this will be a good reason to go with the 521. I'm sure there you could sell that block anyways needing the 1 cylinder re nicked, they arnt too cheap so someone may buy it an re nick it. Nice progress keep at er

watching you pull apart this engine really makes you realize how simple some of these old 2 stroke motors really are. This engine was basically used by something from yamaha from I think 1973-2012 (yamaha rd350 - banshee's final year in production) The engine that they brought over from the street bike to the banshee is basically the same exact thing, which is why I said that.

Deff 521, sucks u wouldn't be able to use that supercub cylinder for the 521 anyways. Have to get 10mm/72mm cylinder setup for proper deck height and port timing. But jump on h.q. on f.b. and there's always someone that has a setup ready to go. Find a machinist to trench your cases and u deff want the cases port matched and bored. Would be a sick build. I run a 521 so id love to see a 521 build video!!!

@@StupidFastJohn I will have to have a look. It's really expensive to do the banshee here. I have spent 25k restoring mine and building the 421. That's with me doing all the work so I'm a little scared to spend the money without knowing 100% it's what I want. You and sabo show all the details in builds and results and I trust you both so a 521 build video would be awesome. Plus who doesn't love 2 stroke content 😊
