I can't believe how often luke wins with the bible it's literally God saving him. Removing Bible shouldn't be necessary although luke winning from it is annoying but it's really limited to two monsters in the deck while chaos card, tech x, or plan c can kill any monster. The fact they considered playing again right after shows how toxic their relationship with the game is lmao it destroys their friendship over and over and they keep playing.

I think the main reason why they have a problem with it is that it has 3 function for 1 item all of which being just cracked

The main problem is that it's three items in one. A infinite dagaz rune to destroy any crippling curse ever placed on you if your ahead and targeted, a cancel your attack which btw is Azazael's starting item, and it can insta kill two monsters that give 2 souls each. So it's a powerful rune, a characters starting item, and if those monsters show up a chaos card that doesn't destroy itself. Bible is a god-tier item. Personally I remove Trinity shield, Bible, and Abaddon from my deck anytime I play with friends or family. Trinity shield is just anti-playing the treasure which is dumb, bible is way to much advantage with a single treasure, and Abaddon is just broken if you have anyway of putting the dice in your favor which like 40% of the deck allows you to do.

Change for bible: Roll a 6 sided dice (20 if you somehow have one) 1: Remove a curse. If there isn't one, the next 1 damage you take will be negated. Anything but 1 or 6/20: Cancel the attack currently going on, or if there isn't one, the current player cannot attack this turn. 6/20: Kill mom or Mom's heart. Do not claim their souls. If there isn't one on the board, deal 1 damage to any monster. Balances it, but doesn't overly nerf it as only the highest and lowest have up sides. Feel free to change this if you'd like if you do add these changes.

Just in case if anyone wonder why the effect of tower doesn't work like the card shows on screen Curse of the tower (Item) - Each time you take damage, roll - 1~3 each other player take 1 damage , 4~6 deal 1 damage to a monster The Tower Card -Roll 1~2 All players take 1 damage , 3~4 All monsters take 1 damage , 5~6 all players take 2 damage

Gonna pop off my idea here too! Greed is Good: -After drafting your 2 starting items, each players draws from the Treasure deck and gains a 3rd item. -Remove Lost Soul, Credit Card and Berkano from the Loot deck. Remove Bumbo, The Chest, and Remote Detonator from the Treasure deck. -Buying from the top of the Treasure deck now costs 15 coins. -Greed is one of the starting monsters, and cannot be covered. You can only attack Greed after gaining two Souls. -Once Greed is considered a Soul Card, any player may pay 20 coins to steal it from its current owner. Greed cannot be destroyed as a Soul card by any means. -Each player starts with 10 coins. -All other rules are the same.

Game idea: Soul Rage. One of the ways to win is by getting regular souls, but only from the bosses that have two souls (Isaac, Mom, etc.). Or by getting the special souls like lost soul, or guppy soul. You can’t get souls from bosses with one soul, but you can get the treasure or reward from them. One more thing for the special souls. You can either keep them, or trade them in for 3+ treasure. Then those soul cards can be gotten again except for guppy soul.

Am I missing something or should Luke have died anytime he used curse of the towers effect to damage players cus it says for the 1 - 2 and 5 - 6 "Damages ALL players" means anytime Luke took damage and had that part of the effect activate he should've died (unless they have a house rule where it's all OTHER players)

house rule idea if you want a really long game. souls cant win you the game. but you can spend them to do 3 damage to a enemy. 2 to a boss enemy. 1 to big boss enemies (like delirium or moms heart. or satan.) and you only win the game when you beat a big boss. additional idea. spend souls for extra hearts. or damage or attack buffs. and to win. you must spend x amount of souls.
