This song is perfection. Their masterpiece. It’s nice to read other’s comments stating the same. My favorite along with Head Over Heels. Shout I skip every time it does nothing for me. Maybe cuz I heard it so much growing up. But this song and the instrumentals are🔥 👌🏼

*Dereck,* In this musical abundance, they pay tribute to all the artists who have inspired them (Beatles, Supertramp, Queen, etc.). The game is to find them all along the song. I love this title ...a must-have. Peace, folks. ☮🤗

I love Tears for Fears and I love this song. It was a huge hit in the alternative dance clubs. This album, The Seeds of Love, has one of the most sonically beautiful songs ever recorded, Woman in Chains. It's a must hear; I'd suggest you give it a listen.

So many different melodies, submelodies, subtle references of different Beatles songs in roughly 5 minutes. Such a masterpiece. I do approve it!

I think its one of Tears For Fears' best! It gives a lot of Beatles vibes. 1989 was quite a year for artists speaking out on political and social issues in song, with Neil Young's "Rocking In The Free World", Don Henley's " The End Of The Innocence", Phil Collins' "Another Day In Paradise", and Billy Joel's " We Didn't Start The Fire".

It's a very big hommage to The Beatles, that's why it's so complexe and seems trippy. This song and its video is really one their masterpiece.

One of the last songs I remember as the 80’s came to an end - this was released in 1989, when the world was in flux but people had hope for the bright future that was the 90’s. The lyrics and video was inspired by the political climate at the time in the UK. I always see this one and Pet Shop Boys - It’s Alright, released around the same time in 1989, as sister-songs.

The UK does not lean right at all - it's our idiotic voting system. The current shambles posing as a government was elected with a "majority" of 80, despite only winning 43.6% of votes. The majority actually voted for left-of-centre parties, and also for parties proposing a second Brexit referendum.

🎶Recommendation: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZrTaY2MrquSl8U Fascination Street by The Cure. The beginning with the bass is my favorite part:). I just discovered your channel, and I’m so glad to see the range! A lot of reactors don’t aim for a range of genres and sub-genres and cultures. They seem to only go by whatever’s getting the most requests at that time, which turns up meaning a whole lot of incredible music not getting heard, just because it didn’t get played on the radio, or didn’t get played across enough stations.

There’s a difference between not ‘approving’ and not being “fond of”, which is what he says. He still appreciates it too. I’ve always loved Most of the song, but the chorus is too cheesy for me personally:), even tho’ I agree with the belief in “sowing the seeds of love”. Edit-note that at the end when he uses the word approve, he says it for His listening. I think he said casual listening.
