Thank you very much for your great comment and for signing up! This mix is receiving an interest I did not expect, plus it is something I had done a few months ago and completely forgotten about. It could have stayed on my hard disk hidden among everything else! The video also received some criticism, but it is not my intention to become a director. It only serves as choreography for the music, nothing more and certainly better than a still image.

@ - to be honest I’m a little in awe of people like yourself who are able to get tracks finished on such a regular basis! My current track has been work in progress for nearly two years! It took a few days to compose in its basic form, I then spent ages just jamming with it. Finally got all the hardware stems recorded into Ableton and arranged it ‘in the box’. Not my usual thing but it worked quite well. Only problem now is recording some video of the hardware and putting it together to upload. Keep getting side tracked by other ideas. Will get there in the end 😬 I’d really like to mix in some AI to the video, so that it’s part hardware and part fantasy. Not sure if I’ll ever get the time to do that. Anyway, I’m sure inspiration hits you again soon. It usually does 😀👍

@@leftmono1016 In fact, I have often wondered why I have not seen anything more on your channel. This does not detract from the fact that maybe KZbin is not your favourite platform and instead you upload your music elsewhere, e.g. Soundcloud... In my opinion your way of making music is a bit more complex and challenging, since you use external hardware. I only have two external synths and to be honest I don't use them often, so I don't have much to do with audio recordings. Even less with video making, which is something completely new and unaccustomed to me. While giving more importance to music, I think a video that is not just a series of still images is much more enjoyable. AI allows you to do interesting things, but if you don't have a paid subscription you have many limitations (the first of which are the long waiting times for the results, which are often unusable). A good example of what can be done using video clips in a more traditional way is the video a friend made me for my remix of New Order's ‘Blue Monday’. The cons of this is that it requires more time and I think I am unlikely to be able to keep up the pace of an upload every Friday!

@ - no excuses for me, KZbin is the only platform I watch or upload to. I guess it is a bit more complex using hardware, plus I’ve never been keen on mixing/mastering. Something you really excel at 👍 Your Blue Monday video is really good, I’ve just refreshed my memory of it. My niece is very much into graphic art, I might see if she’d help me out. I’d not thought about the results of AI generation being unusable, that certainly makes sense given all the possible variables I suppose. Almost met Bernard Sumner once. I used to work at a pro audio retailer, was out installing some gear for a customer and returned to find him playing on a newly released Waldorf synth. There were already a few people trying to talk to him so thought it best to leave him in peace!

I’m also only on KZbin. Ah, I wouldn't say I excel at mixing/mastering! 😆 It's a constant struggle for me, partly due to my hearing I guess. Regarding AI generated graphic content, I have achieved interesting results with more abstract things, visual effects, fractals, lights and strange shapes. The problem is being able to tell a story with realistic and consistent characters, which I’d like to do. I can imagine that if you almost met Bernard Sumner working in a pro audio retailer, you don't exactly live in a remote village in the English countryside....😃👋

@eant1234 As long as you upload such things to KZbin, there are no particular problems. For copyrighted material, you simply receive a warning that you cannot monetise the video, but not that you cannot upload it (unless the author or rights owner specifically requests that the video be taken down. So far this has not happened to me....) These warnings have no impact on the channel. Things are different if you try to sell something that contains material that you do not own, but we are talking about something outside of KZbin.
