I just looked at his vods on Twitch and it looks like there was a stream for the beginning of this run that didn't get saved. It goes from Day 1 to Day 3

Can you throw items for damage? Trowing dazzlefruit one shots stal enemies. Or if they couldn't be used for damage, you could have thrown something at the ice to break it loose.

9:11 then why don't you switch to streaming on youtube so that your vods channel can have your streams + the vods but then you can still upload the edited content on your regular channel. it would be much simpler that way and not much would change other than you would have faster and easy vods.
