Professor, do I need to know the types of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria? Thank you.
@professoryu55719 ай бұрын
Good question! I have not seen any questions as advanced as gram-positive and gram-negative and ATI official study guide does not specify any requirements on differentiating bacteria based on gram-positive and gram-negative staining. So I would say that the chances that you will see a TEAS question on that is very slim. So I recommend not worrying about that and spending the time on other topics that are more likely to be on the exam. I hope this helps and feel free to let me know if you have any further questions :-)

Hello professor, How can I get the ppt from part 2 of microorganism lessons and others? I purchased your ppt Science TEAS6 but couldn't see any link to the microorganism ppt. Thank you!

Hi! Good question! I'm currently working on Part 2 slides and I'm almost done with the slide deck. I will let everyone know once it's published. I've been traveling so the work is a little delayed... Thank you :-)

Teas has microbiology now?
@professoryu55712 жыл бұрын
Yep! Microbiology is an integral part of medical practices so I'm glad they included it. But rest assured it's pretty basic and should be easier than some of the other science topics, LOL. The pandemic may also have something to do with this change...

I've been a silent watcher while studying the TEAS, but I'm slowly getting close to my test date and just wanted to say thank you SO much. I've used other youtube resources, but I feel like your videos are very specific to the TEAS. So glad to have found you to use as a resource!

I'm not sure if this will help anyone but my microbio prof explained protozoans as the "other" group haha
@professoryu55712 жыл бұрын
I would totally agree, LOL! Protozoans are basically unicelluar organisms that are too challenging to classify, so we just put all of them in one group - the "other" group 😆

i really want to thank you for taking the time out to do this for us students. Ive bought and printed all of your notes to follow along with and its helping me understand so much more than just reading from the ati teas book. You bring it to life and power points make it so much better for me to understand. Taking test Monday and solely just depending on your videos, notes and practice questions and ati book which you cover everything in ati teas 7 science . This really means a lot. If i do not do good Monday, that will only be my fault and my anxiety, because you've really broke everything down. Thank you so much

Thank you! I bought your book on your store and have been going through your videos. I have made it to the immune system today. I definitely have to re-watch that section it’s a bit confusing for me. Again thank you for all your videos I really enjoyed them.

I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed the videos, yay! Yeah, the immune system is a bit tricky. I remember when I was in college, one of the most difficult classes was a special topic class on immunity😅 Hope you keep finding the videos and the study materials helpful!

Approximately how many more videos will be added in this playlist professor yu?

That's a good question....I'd say about 15 more videos (just a rough estimate). There's a lot to go over in life/physical sciences and scientific method...

thanks for sharing. I hope I could see the partII next week, because I have test at 15. For last test, I met questions about Cancer. I forget the detail about it. So I want to ask professor Yu, if you would know any questions about Cancer will show at TEAS
@professoryu55712 жыл бұрын
You are very welcome! I will work on getting Part 2 done a couple of days before your scheduled test. Cancer is a very broad topic...but I wonder if it's in a lesson that I have not reviewed yet in Life Sciences, which is gene mutations and development of cancer. Mutations could lead to the wrong proteins being made, which in turn may affect the cell cycle. If a cell cannot regulate the cell cycel properly, it may go rogue and become a cancer cell that keeps multiplying without stopping. That's my guess since transcription and translation were added to TEAS 7. Again, I have not gotten that far yet so it's only a speculation 😊

Thanks Professor Yu. If you don't mind, would u add some information about HIV or AID? It's also in Teas. Some thing like how can they go inside our cell. Those cells cover by something so HIV/AID can go inside our cell.
