Teaser - IOHK's Charles Hoskinson speaks to Ben Goertzel of SingularityNET

SingularityNET Foundation and leading blockchain research and development company IOHK, have today announced that they are planning to port a significant portion of the SingularityNET decentralized protocol and platform from Ethereum to Cardano.
This would involve providing mechanisms for swapping some of the current (Ethereum-based) ERC-20 AGI tokens to Cardano-based AGI tokens, and also creating analogues of the Solidity smart contracts underlying aspects of the SingularityNET platform using Cardano’s new Plutus smart contract language.
IOHK and SingularityNET, CEOs Charles Hoskinson and Ben Goertzel sit down here for a wide-ranging discussion of the future of technology. The conversation at the University of Wyoming Blockchain Stampede touches on the intersection of decentralization and artificial intelligence. SingularityNET is working with Cardano on the shared goal of pushing power to the edges of the world through the application of next-generation technology.

Oh, man. I thought the first project to migrate would be some DeFi project or something similar economy focused. I am just blown away that it is actually gonna be a "General Intelligent Global Brain that respects data sovereignty and democratization". WTF? Cardano aims much higher than I thought. And I keep saying that to myself everyday after new info gets to me. Congrats, keep it up!

noone would be able to imagine what the internet is as of today at its inception... Same gonna be for blockchain and cardano/IOHK It is all about potential. And ADA has HUGE potential, noone seem to be able to grasp what they are able to do..you wait and see, within 5 years... @@babywhalecrypto1346 Funny i use the story of icarus also in mydaily live. Now i don't know Ben and his project, but i surely know that icarus story doesn't apply to cardano at all, if there is 1 project in the space that took his time to cover ALL bases using science and academics its cardano, if the icarus story does apply, sure it could be b en, but i rather use ethereum as example, because they didn't think things trough, now they are solving stuff they should have already covered...and thats only the start of many problems to come. cardano is on all levels well thought, has a platform that is very user friendly,people can program in their own language and haskell will take care of it. Compared to other projects, you need to learn the program language of that certain project which is not user friendly or scaling friendly at all. Cardano really is a gem in that sense, it is like open source to ANYONE who want to work on their project,they can start right away no matter what language they know. But lets be honest...we are EARLY..i mean really EARLY...you can start counting once..blockchain is in our daily lives, just like internet was before, only 0.2% had access to it , and the rest simply didn't care or understand...15 years later...everyone almost has access to it and can't operate without and understand what internet brings...

@@Tom-uo2co Yes, it will be possible anyway. Users of AGI will be able to pay transaction fees on Cardano with their AGI tokens. Unlike on Ethereum where all fees are paid in ETH. As I understand it you'll be able to pay the fees in ADA aswell, but you don't have to. So, since the stakers earn the fees in reward for staking; they will earn AGI in rewards. ADA too ofc :)

Cardano becoming the central nervous system for Artificial General Intelligence. Imagine if Steve Jobs and Bill Gates had REALLY teamed up in their early days. Merged their ability to form something beyond just Apple or Microsoft. Imagine how great it would have been to sit in on their formative conversation around that topic. This is def the best way it would work. I believe in Cardano through and through but I have been patiently waiting for Goguen to validate my investment. Q4 end of year so anytime now. Testnet should be launching in October according to a lot of speculation so maybe November or December we should be officially integrated and updated. HODL until then and HODL afterwards. If you can’t wait a couple months I would probably sell now as Cardano is methodical in their approach and won’t ship projects early for speculators and day traders. Cardano is for the HODLERS that see it’s bright future.

If there is potential 90 projects in a pipe to migrate to Cardano ecosystem, maybe you can say estimatet of total value of the companies? We dont need any names, you dont have to be acurate with the value but just say plus or minus $ will give the clue for the investors. And one more question, if the EOS is so bad and slow, how is posible that the company signed contract with google ? Or I just missed something ? Love Ben, and all but theres something about Charles I've never trusted. This video feels like an Ad, and having seen Ben be more genuine on other podcasts... We'll see what happens in the next 5 years. For Ben's purposes ETH is too expensive, but will cardano put aside DeFi to cater to Ben's vision of AI agents? Unlikely. Ben is smart in hedging his bets between chains for different purposes and Charles turns it into a cardano Ad.
