First, you should know how that plagiarism software work to make it in perspective. Second, you should know how thesis guiding process in her. The percentage of similarities was high, but she followed the guiding process. The software similarities can be happened if there are some quotes more than 7 words in her thesis. If she quoted regulations, agreements, songs, etc, it will be consider as plagiarism, although the thesis main idea was hers.

Her thesis is clear plagiarism from a general point of view, not from a program. It was also officially confirmed that it was plagiarism at her university. Even if you love her music, I don't think you should justify her plagiarism. In addition, I have completed my PhD course and am writing a thesis. Hong Jin-young is a great singer, but she is a liar who got her degree by plagiarizing her thesis.

I only want to say, that is not fair to accuse plagiarism based on software only. The software measure the indicator of plagiarism. However, the whole process should be considered. Is it true, that thesis claim primary data that owned by other research? What is the thesis state of the art, is it the same as other thesis or not? It can not be measured by the software. The ethics commitee should decide that. And, as the fact, they already had the decision. Well, I observed some religious studies had issues with sacred books quotation because of plagiarism software, and as solution they are avoiding quotation now, and only give number of verses. But I prefer the old style, because I understand better.
