I think you’re noticing a sampling bias problem not an influencer problem. People that consume influencers content know they have platforms that’s often why they support the brand so anytime something big happens you’re talking about a niche that are going to be more likely to post it whereas for smaller brands they don’t sell as much so there aren’t as many reviews out there positive or negative. Not anything to do with differing quality of brands just a cognitive bias we all have.

My theory on this: Everytime a handful of new beauty launched products go bad, i think defected ones are put in there for a reason. So ppl can share negative videos n it brings more attention to the product, capatalizing on negative publicity.
