Glad to see some attention given to the technical climbing side of mountain biking! My friends and I often session difficult uphills and there are several trails in my area (South SF bay) that are ongoing projects to clean bottom to top. Completing a gnarly uphill can be just as satisfying (to me) as clearing a gap or landing a big drop.

I learnt something watching you climb in this vid., you lower your seat and stand where as I have my seat post up, noted. I'm envious of the way you can pogo stick and balance at a stop. There’s some sick riding up there too. I here they’re going to open up the Snowbowl ski resort for mountain biking in the summer at some point. That’ll be really sick. Hope all is well...keep on rockin!

Hi Jeff I've seen so many people try to get up that waterfall but don't think I've ever seen any one make it before amazing riding. The chap you was with looks like he's running a very odd handlebar stem combination very long stem short bars for what looks like quite a modern bike I'm sure it would be better off with a longer bars.and a shorter stem.

Killer video quality, and the only thing better than your skill is your positive attitude! Keep it up! I do have a question since you've ridden all over my chunky state of Arizona. and it's seemingly impossible to get a demo on either of these bikes. If you were a regular Joe who rides trails like national weekly. Would you give the nod to purchasing a Ripley or Ripmo? Will a Ripley give a notable advantage in these Rocky climbs, techie sections and on longer rides?

JKW...as usual, you make it look easy. I need your help man. Curious...in that type of chunk, if you were racing enduro....do you feel the Ripmo with that DPX2 shock allows you to push your speed? Do you feel like the FloatX2 would be a better shock for enduro on that bike? I keep hearing people suggesting that the Ripmo is a great bike, but it's closer to a trail bike than many of the newer LT 29'ers, that line up closer to DH bikes. I'm just wondering if the pedaling, on our up and down stages (you've ridden here...pedally), would make up whatever slighly slower speeds I might take in the rock gardens. I'm down to three choices...Ripmo, Carbine, or Rallon. I gotta get one ordered, and I'd love to get your honest feedback on the Ripmo and how capable you think it is in the chunk and chunder.

Awesome video as always! I was wondering, is it true that hardtails are more efficient when it comes to climbing, but techy sections are easier to climb on a full suspension bike because you should have more grip?
