People who are doing code for them find it a little bit easy to find a job rather than in management, hr, and operations. Actual numbers of professional services are low. Employment is more in the healthcare sector

I write code for a living and I find it hard to get a well-paying gig now. Cleared Google interviews but unfortunately no headcount. The technical bar also got much higher. There’s tons of jobs in the lower six figure ranges but the era of those staggering numbers is over

It is a triple whammy. High interest rate dries up investment, economic slow down dries up demand and economic war with China slows global growth and demand. Fragmentation of global market will end US tech dominance and a weaponized USD will keep interest rate high.

You still need people to understand the business problem and convert it technically. To store data efficiently and securely. I've seen business owners going it alone. Their customer data is a mess.

It is very hard to feel sorry for Amazon employees. Almost daily I get other people's packages delivered to my door because the Amazon delivery person is too lazy to walk any further than my door. Sometimes I get a PILE of packages dumped at my door. They could be heard verbally complaining if they have to use stairs. No use filing complaints because next week or next month it will be someone else on the route. Sometimes I have even found packages in the middle of the road. They also refuse to fix incorrect deliveries. It will literally stay at my door step for weeks and even months until porch pirates take them. Furthermore, there seems to be some sort of racism at Amazon's human resources. ALL the delivery people for the last several years were Latinos except a few blacks. And is Amazon recruiting from prisons? Because they have quite the attitude. Thugs and sociopaths. Today? They lost my package (clothing). And another package (pharmaceutical) had been smashed (not delivery person's fault, during sorting) and guess what ? I got a empty package without a label indicating who its for. Just a computer code label. And that's just today. Jeff Bezos. Proof that neither intelligence or creativity is required to be a billionaire.
